Introducing the Hydropool Aquatic Swim Spa Collection; your personal backyard aquatic centre!
Tip of the week: Do you get flow errors when refilling your hot tub? This is a very common problem that is caused when air gets trapped in the pumps while it the hot tub is refilling. To fix this flow error first turn off the power to the hot tub, then slowly loosen the fittings on either side of the pump until you hear air escaping and water leaks out. When you stop hearing the air escaping tighten the fittings again and turn the hot tub back on. To prevent flow errors like this in the future simply fill your hot tub from the skimmer area firsts that the pumps fill with water before the rest of the hot tub.

Tip of the week: Always leave your hot tub cover fully open for at least 30 minutes after shocking the water. Shocking the water helps your bromine or chlorine work more effectively by releasing gases like Nitrogen that bond to them. If you close your cover after shocking these gases can't escape, reducing the effectiveness of the shock treatment and damaging the underside of the cover.

Tip of the week: Do your eyes get red or irritated when you use your hot tub or swim spa? This likely means that the pH of the water is out of balance. Your eyes naturally have a pH around 7.5. The farther your water's pH is from this level, the more irritating it will be to your eyes. For a more comfortable bathing experience, keep your swim spa or hot tub water's pH level between 7.4 and 7.6.

Tip of the week: Over time, it is common for hot tub pumps to start to get louder. This increased noise is usually from water getting into the motor. Over time, the rubber seal that separates the wet end of the pump from the motor degrades, letting water into the motor. This water begins to rust the shaft of the pump. As the shaft spins this rust grinds against it’s housing, causing an increase in noise when the pump is on. If you notice your hot tub pump getting louder, take it in to get it professionally rebuilt before you end up having to replace the pump!

Tip of the week: Got a foamy hot tub? Do you get an oily buildup around the waterline? It could be caused by a buildup of biofilm. Next time you drain the hot tub, clean out the pipes first to break up biofilm buildup inside your hot tub's plumbing and deliver clearer, foam-free water when you refill.
