One of the earliest photographs we have in the archives is this photo of Robert Alexander Harrison (1833-1878), taken between 1855 and 1867. Harrison served as an alderman in Toronto, represented West Toronto in the first Canadian parliament, and was chief justice for the Court of Queen's Bench of Ontario.

Here's another unidentified photo from our collection. The photo, part of the William Glenholme Falconbridge fonds, was taken in the 1860s. The subject is likely a member of the Falconbridge family, but we don't know for certain. If you have any suggestions about his identity, please leave a comment or e-mail the Archives at [email protected]
Do you know who this is? We don't. The photo, part of the Wallace Rankine Nesbitt collection, was taken in the 1870s or 1880s. If you have any suggestions about his identity, please leave a comment or e-mail the Archives at [email protected]
Thousands of students will be returning to class in one format or another over the next couple weeks. This photo shows the Osgoode Hall Law School classroom from 100 years ago.
