SKETCH COMEDY/IMPROV CLASSES 9-12 year olds | 13-16 year olds Surrey & Vancouver These classes offer a dynamic, constructive space for children and young people to work with others to find the funny. But they are so much more than that.... Young people thrive in spaces where they can express themselves, be themselves, play around, and construct scenes with others. Our students gain skills for life - building confidence, developing a performer’s instinct, and learning new ways to navigate their emotions. Our Winter sessions begin in January with a 9-week program of after-school sessions open to two age groups: 9-12 year olds and 13-16 year olds. Classes will run in Surrey and Vancouver, and are open to students of all abilities. Register online and come along in the New Year ready to share those ideas! Details here: https://bit.ly/3lG34jx

Now, more than ever, it’s important to cherish connections with the important people in your life. This beautiful animation was created by Dorothy Ma, a student from our 2020 EA - Electronic Arts Animation Scholarship Program. An exploration of friendship and connection while growing up, it’s a wonderful representation of the creativity, sense of narrative, and technical artistry of young people on the program. We are thrilled to be again delivering the EA Animation Scholarship Program in 2021. We are accepting applications until January 4, 2021. Full details can be found on the Arts Umbrella website: https://www.artsumbrella.com//ea-teen-animation-scholarsh/

The rigid geometric cubes, the free-flowing nature of the ocean and river, and the organic, natural forms of the plants on the green roofs will make this building stand out from the ones around it. Students designed buildings for an unused site in South False Creek, Vancouver, focusing closely on environmental ch...allenges of the future.
