Please help with your vote, if you feel compelled! Thomas Leslie, who runs the CIOC, is behind the production of a documentary film entitled PIPE DREAMS. It deals with five young organ students from five different countries who are preparing their participation in Montreal’s organ competition. It takes place every three years and it is the largest and most important competition of its type in the world. Pipe Dreams was shown in Toronto at the Hot Docs Festival, was highly... acclaimed by the Wall Street Journal after it’s showing on PBS two weeks ago. Also played in Vancouver, Montreal,Halifax. The film, selected by PBS as one of 19 finalists for the annual Independent Lens Prize, is the only CANADIAN entry. We are now in second position and need a good 100 votes in order to take over first place. If you feel compelled to vote, it would be fantastic and of great help. All you need to do is to check off the box located next to the Pipe Dream picture. Deadline to vote is tomorrow, July 8th before 5:00PM. All that has to be done is to click on the link - and vote for PipeDreams! Thank you very much for your support! https://www.pbs.org//vote-in-the-2019-2020-indie-lens-audi

WEEKEND MASSES CANCELLED In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Assembly of Quebec Catholic Bishops has decided to cancel all weekend masses until further notice. ... Our church will be open for personal worship during mass hours, and weekday Masses will continue to be held. This Statement by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops published March 14th, states in part: We will soon be celebrating Easter Christ’s triumph over death as the Lord of life and the source of ever-lasting hope. The spread of the COVID-19 virus is a moment for Catholics to offer special prayers of intercession for the healing of those infected, for the protection of the elderly and infirm who are at greatest risk, for the prevention of the disease’s spread, and for the courage and strength of care providers who minister to the sick, their families and those most in need". We invite you to follow this invitation and enter into a time of more intense prayer as we continue our Lenten journey.
