Doctor Chris and Doctor Steph’s son, Nicholas graduated from Kindergarten yesterday! Dr. Steph got the pleasure of teaching him while the office was closed and schools were shut down. While this was a neat experience, she won’t be quitting her day job! Nicholas doesn’t yet want to follow in mom and dad’s footsteps and become a dentist. His plan is to make it to the NHL!

We’re going to look a little different the next time you see us! The Manitoba Dental Association Infection Control Guidelines and Protective Equipment Protocol has changed significantly since your last dentist visit. This is all in an attempt to protect patients, staff and families from the spread of Covid-19. Here is what you can expect on your next dental visit: - We are only able to provide treatment for emergency and urgent dental concerns at this time.... - Each patient will be pre-screened over the phone for possible exposure to Covid-19. - You will be asked to wait in your car until we phone you to come in for your appointment. We will only be allowing the patient or the patient and one caregiver in the office at a time. - Upon entry into the clinic, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer and put a mask on. You will then be asked to fill out and sign another Covid-19 release form. - You will notice that there are no toys or books in the waiting room, the drink station has been cleared and the bathroom will not be accessible during this time. There is also plexi glass at the front desk and all receptionists will be wearing masks. - The assistant will be fully geared up to bring you to the room. If we are performing an aerosol producing procedure, this will involve a respirator (until proper masks become available), face shield, surgical cap, booties and gown. She/he will take your temperature before escorting you to the room. - You will be asked to do a mouth rinse with hydrogen peroxide prior to your examination or procedure. - Upon completion of your procedure, you will be asked to replace your mask and use hand sanitizer before exiting the office. - We can minimize contact during check out by phoning you with your balance and taking payment over the phone or via e-transfer. - We will be contacting you both 1 week and 14 days after your appointment to ensure that you have not developed any Covid-19 symptoms in that time.
