We need ...to constantly be educating and reminding future generations remember what happened, so it never happens again. Today is a day of reflection and remembrance - but also of celebration. First Nations People have gone through so much, but we are still here. On September 28, 2020, an Atikamekw woman named Joyce Echaquan passed away at the CISSS de Lanaudiere. In her final moments, captured live on Facebook, Joyce i...s seen asking for help from her loved ones, saying in her language that she had been overmedicated by hospital staff.
