Selkirk College is a community college in the West Kootenay and Boundary regions of south eastern British Columbia. Founded in 1966, it was the first regional community college in British Columbia. Recently, our company was chosen to produce signs for the new wayfinding system at the Silver King campus in Nelson. This clear and modern wayfinding design was created by Selkirk College and manufactured by Astrographic Industries, using a variety of high-quality materials such as... powder coating, 3M reflective sheeting, sustainable fabricated aluminum. The design concept was two-fold. With a previously installed concrete base and sub frame with HSS sleeves, the sign boxes were designed to slide over the sleeves, ensuring a successful install for our customer. This well-designed wayfinding system builds confidence and trust with the students and visitors of Selkirk College as they find their way through campus.
