As the global community moves towards a greener future to meet the Paris Agreement's climate change goals, alternative energies to greenhouse gases are becoming increasingly sought after. Hydropower is a critical source in reaching net-zero carbon solutions and recently, we've seen the UK begin to import hydropower from Norway along the world's longest submarine power cable. Quite the engineering feat in itself Read about it here: https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/u-k-to-import-no...rway-s-cheap-hy #austinengineering #engineering #hydroengineering#cleanenergy #renewableenergy
Hydrotechnical engineering is one of our core disciplines at Austin Engineering, particularly as we work to be part of the movement for the widespread use of alternative and clean energies. On Monday, WaterPower Canada announced the annual Canadian Waterpower Week, which takes a look at hydropower's expanding role in Canada's clean energy initiatives.
