All Canadian IP deadlines (patent, trademark, industrial design) have been further extended until MAY 19, 2020, by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Thank you CIPO! #covid19 #patent #trademark #copyright #IPLaw #intellectualproperty #staysafe
CIPO has announced that it is further extending all deadlines on IP matters (patent, trademark and industrial design) falling between April 1 and April 30, 2020 to MAY 1, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, for all deadlines after April 1, 2020 in proceedings before the Trademarks Opposition Board, COVID-19 disruption will be considered a sufficient reason for an extension of time request. #covid19 #patent #trademark #copyright #IPlaw #intellectualproperty #staysafe

We are doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are operating fully remotely to protect the health and safety of our community and our people - our most valued asset. The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) is also adapting its practices to follow public health directives, but at this time it is NOT extending any deadlines in any IP matters, unlike other countries. We will keep you advised! We remain fiercely dedicated to protecting your IP without interr...uption during this pandemic. We hope that each and every one of you remains healthy and safe. #covid19 #patent #trademark #copyright # intellectualproperty #IPLaw
