Great helmet...and on sale!

This month we’d like to feature Miss Piper KL as our helper of the month! If you haven’t seen her around organizing the barn on Saturdays as our Barn Manager aka. Barn mom or making her way up evergreen hill on her bike all the way from Quadra let us introduce her. Piper began lessons at Balance when her past horse grew too old (34!) to keep up with Piper’s drive to learn and ride more. Piper’s role as the saturday barn manager includes helping tack and untack horses for ...lessons, helping finish a.m, and doing weekly jobs that need to be done by an accountable helper, like herself! When asked what it takes to do her job she says you need to be dedicated. And boy, is Piper the perfect example of dedicated! She comes from Quadra every weekend and spends all day at the barn, and says its totally worth it! She also says you need to be compassionate, hardworking and willing to do tasks that may be difficult at times. Her favourite horse to ride at the barn is Bonnie. Piper says she’s her favourite because she is really sweet and moves well. The last ride I had on her was absolutely amazing! she was a star. Says Piper. Piper’s 2021 riding goal is to start taking more lessons to further improve her skills. So watch for her in the saddle more often! I love riding at Balance because everyone is very nice and helpful, and lovely to be around! The horses are all great, and I love the community. Working at balance is amazing because it feels really good to help everyone and the horses, and be around wonderful people. Replies Piper when asked what’s so enjoyable about being at Balance. In the next 5 years Piper sees her self competing and helping more people with their riding. Her riding role model is Charlotte Dujardin (Great choice btw), because she is motivated and inspiring. Halloween Parade! 2 pm Oct 31. Anyone in costume is welcome to join. Those of you signed up with horses, come get them dressed before 2 pm. We will gather at 2 pm in the ring.
