Free Centre October 29th Yes we are open. I think I need to clarify a few things about our free centre that some maybe confused on. There is a difference between a random food giveaway and what we do at the free centre. There is a reason why it’s called a centre and not just a giveaway. We are open every week Tuesday to Saturday 12-5pm. This is not just a service provided once a month or even once a week. We wanted to be open 5 days a week so people could access food not just on one day. We also don’t post things every day because we are always open. When we receive big shipments of perishable items we will post so that we are able to get it out quickly. The free centre is filled every day and no matter what there is always something to giveaway.

Free centre for Friday January 15 We will be opening the free centre in a smaller capacity, we ask you don’t go everyday, pick a day and get what you need. We w...ill have less volunteers available to lessen the people in the area. We will not post what’s available or answer question because we don’t want a rush at one time or one particular day. We will have good products out every day Physical distancing and masks are a must, if you cause a problem or do not listen to the volunteers you will be asked to leave. We have to be very firm in order to keep the free area open. We will be limiting the amount of people in the area as well as in the line up. You may be asked to stay in your car There will be lots of food for everyone please work with us so everyone can be blessed Free centre will be from 12-5 Friday and Saturday this week Our store is all new come check it out. Thursday January 14th, 2021 Our store will be open at 10am. We hope that you are pleased with our efforts and thank you for your patience in the last few weeks.... We have upgraded several things in the store including the debit machine. We now have tap and we will be able to accept credit cards as of next week. We have also upgraded our washroom to be wheelchair accessible. The Free Center will be closed. We are still waiting on clarification because of the lock down. *****Please Read****** We will be opening again THURSDAY JANUARY 14th, 2021. We will be open regular hours 10am - 6pm during the lock down. We have done a major reset in the store. Everything has been cleaned and we have created more room for you to shop comfortably in this uncertain time. According to the new rules we are allowed 34 people in our store at a time. We have 7 full time floor associates therefore we are only allowed 27 customers and we will strictly adhere to that. We ask that you wear your mask and practice social distancing. If you are unable to wear a mask we ask that you wear a face shield. When are currently waiting on clarification from the Health Board regarding restrictions on the Free Center. There will be no Free Centre tomorrow January 13th. Please watch the posts for updates.

Tonight we honour a very kind and loving man who cared very deeply for his community. Constable Marc and his wife Lianne were very heavily involved in our meals on wheels program as volunteers drivers and coordinators for the Manitowaning and Mindemoya area. I was proud to call him a friend. He will be greatly miss. Please pray for his wife and children in this very difficult time.

Free centre for Wednesday November 18 ALL WEEK, the Free centre will be full to capacity We have had 3 transport arrived so far and we will add all day to the ...area every day There are broken boxed toys and some used toys (3 skids per day) Children are not required to attend, you may only take for your household, not your cousin who can’t make it Fresh bananas ( full transport) Frozen food Coffee Water Sauces Dips And lots more You must wear a mask and social distance. If you do not social distance you will be asked to leave, we are sorry but there are a few who won’t listen and they will ruin it for everyone. We are working closely with the health board and we are following their recommendations. I would like to share my heart The writing is on the wall for another shut down or partial shut down, we here at Homeland missions are trying to put as much food into your hands as we can before the shut down. So please be patient with us and support us, but most of all fill your pantries so if it does happen you’re well taken care of. God bless and stay safe. I would just like to let everyone know who donated to Haiti we sent down $1155 to Haiti last night. Thank you for all your help. We will post pictures of the food being passed out when we receive them. We are still collecting for Haiti today and tomorrow we will send that off next week, they just needed help now so we sent down what we had Thank you again for all your donations there will be children with full bellies today because of your help.

This week and next we will be fund raising money for the flood relief in Haiti. Pastor Osnel messaged us on Sunday with these videos. Hurricane Laura went right over them this past weekend and wiped a lot of their homes out. This is a video of Leogane, the town we stayed at when we went there. If you are in the store please donate in our boxes at the front cashes. 100% of all donations go directly to buying food for the people of Haiti.
