Students in grades 7, 8 and 9 have access to open gym times on Mondays and Wednesdays! The Junior Learning Group sign up sheets are in the hallway. Students can choose if they want to participate in one session or all 4 (or 2 or 3!).... We are thrilled that there will be activity in our Den outside the school day!

Barriere Secondary’s school community is delighted to announce that our Technology Education Department was the recipient of a $5000 welding grant from the CWB Welding Foundation’s Capital Equipment and Consumables Fund. Barriere Secondary will be using the funds from the CWB Welding Foundation, along with funding from School District 73, to purchase an industrial metal belt sander with built-in dust collection. This piece of equipment will improve safety for our students an...d will be used to support learning to design and build welding projects. In addition, shielding gas, required for welding projects, will be purchased locally from Barriere Auto Parts. Finally, remaining funds will be allocated to the purchase of additional welding tools and equipment. We are grateful for the CWB Welding Foundation’s support of our Technology Education Department.
