Ticket books are floating around and sales are going well, hoping anyone looking for stocking stuffer ideas considers a raffle ticket or 2 and help support the curling club recoup of 2020 costs so we will be able to fire up without concern when allowed (yearly insurance fees and utilities, as well as wages with no Bunnock tourney this year has us a little ) #raffletickets #progresivePrize #helpus

While we haven’t actually gotten to open our doors to host our members and friends inside the curling club this season YETTTTTTT we still have a super cool fundraiser we were going to launch for our members to sell raffle tickets for. It’s called a progressive 50/50 with the tickets being $5each and if we had a compete sell out that would mean $7500 in your pocket!! Tickets are going to start showing up at businesses who have graciously offered to host our booklets BUUUUUTTT...TT maybe if you or your child were planning to join our league this season maybe you would consider selling a book of 20 tickets for us? If you would consider this and help us out we would be forever grateful! Contact Alison Knockleby or Erin Elder, Liane McDonald, Kyle Ramstad or Colleen Kohlman and we will make sure this happens! TIA

Not the best news for any club, group or team sport... due to govt regulations we are now forced to cancel the start of our curling season for 2020. We were so hopeful to be able to begin curling in just a few days. Our ice tech has been working diligently to get things ready for our faithful members and now sadness ensues.. what this will mean for our entire season we do not know. We are all at the mercy of the virus COVID-19 and hopeful the spread will slow and allow us to... move forward. The shut down will (obviously) include our Junior program as well as our league play. Stay tuned for updates on return to play and our planned raffle ticket sales that we desperately were counting on to offset the costs of our single paid staff (our ice tech is not a volunteer like many small clubs, so much work goes into this position and we value Curt and his expertise and training) as well as expensive utility costs to keep the plant running. We will be running some spotlight thank you’s for our ice and board sponsors who had much faith in the season starting. Without sponsors we would not survive as a entity #curlingwithcovid #whatnext #curlingsponsors
