Hey ladies and gentlemen, as per the new BC rules set forth today, all retail space employees and customers are required to wear masks while the store. We do have a limited number of disposable masks which I am assuming will shortly be unavailable from any retail outlet because of the announcement, so please do your best to remember to bring your own. Once we run out we will not be allowed to permit entry to anyone who is not wearing a mask. Let’s make this a safe holiday season and all do our part!

Here comes a positivity sandwich post: Good news: All our new DND Books arrived Bad news: With pre orders, they sold out in a heart beat, and are out of stock on the west coast.... Good news: We have over 2 dozen more shipping tomorrow from the east coast and should be arriving in a week. If you would like to reserve one, please message the store. Thanks very much!

For those waiting in anticipation for copies of Tasha's Cauldon of Everything, our copies will be in most likely tomorrow, or Thursday at the latest. Sometimes with Covid, the courier companies deliveries take a bit longer. Thanks for understanding! Update: barring some force of nature the books should be arriving Wednesday. We will post when they arrive.

Normally I don't solicit preorders for individual products so I don't spam your feeds with posts, but considering the number of RPG players in the area, I'd feel bad if I didn't give you the opportunity to pre order the Tabletop RPG Organizer case! If you would definitely like to pick one up, please comment and we will add extras to our order. It is supposed to ship December 15th, but that close to Christmas there can be issues. Price will be 94.99 in store, and 89.99 if you put any deposit on it.

I hope everyone is having an awesome week! I just wanted to address some criticism brought forward that the staff here has limited knowledge based on their own interests only. I stock closing on 1100 different games and products in the store. Some of these games have hundreds of different pieces, rulebooks with hundreds of pages, and require a very high level of competency and time to understand let alone be good enough at to make recommendations in. It isn’t economically... possible to be well versed in every game we stock. This is one of the reasons that employees make use of resources online specifically created for concise information on the majority of the games we stock. Employees that spend their personal time playing a game regularly will most assuredly have a higher level of expertise at it. That is however, their time, and their choice on how to use it. A good example: we have stocked and sold monopoly. If a customer asks an employee what the best property to buy in the game early is, I’m confident that if the employee isn’t a competitive monopoly player, that they would confess to not being sure (instead of making something up), but offer to look it up online if they have the time. What I can say is that I think my employees have been doing a spectacular job in their positions especially given the additional difficulties posed by Covid 19. I welcome feedback on any experience you have in my store, in fact, I thrive on it. Lots of positive changes in the store have been driven by constructive feedback from you and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If your experience in my store is a rare negative one, please let me know so that I can work with my team on making changes in that area to improve it. As always if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch! -Nathan
