Harley told me about a Dog Scanner app that tells you dog breeds based on a photo. So I’ve been playing around on it and uploaded my dogs to share. The first two pictures are of Cody and Dezerie who are both 30lbs rescue dogs from Northern Quebec. I’ve heard there are lots of dogs like them in that area. Cody has often been compare to a Shiba Inu or a Fox. Dezerie does look a lot like an Alaskan Klee Kai (although I doubt she’s a pure breed). Last but not least is our Lincoln, he’s a Labrador and Australian Shepard Cross. Let’s have some fun! Give it a try and post your dogs in the comments. Was it accurate on choosing your dogs breed?

With the cooler weather comes a coat change in all the double coated breeds. Dogs shed out their summer undercoat and start growing in a thicker warmer coat for the winter months. Now is the perfect time for a deshedding groom to get your dog’s fur clean and healthy.

The hardest part of the job is saying goodbye. We’ve lost some much loved doggies this year. We’d just like to take a moment to remember each of them and let you know we miss them too.

Join us in welcoming Star! She is our new receptionist and bather at the salon. Star is very passionate about animals and has been working around our furry friends for 6 years. She started volunteering at a Georgian Triangle Humane Society when she was 14 years old and later spent 3 years learning about animal care while working at a local vet clinic. She has gained lots of knowledge about the well-being of our animals and also has lots of experience with handling all different dog breeds. She is excited grow in the field and be pursuing a career as a professional groomer.

Important Update Regarding Grooming Appointments As with many businesses Covid has had a big affect on the daily operations at Bath & Biscuit. In order to ensure social distancing between clients and proper sanitation our daily number of clients was decreased while our workload increased. Starting in September we will be changing the length of appointment times. Many appointment times will now be approximately 1/2 hour longer to allow for more efficiency for our staff and con...tinued social distancing in our reception area. We will also be looking to hire a bather/receptionist.
