I have been employed with Battlefield Equipment Rentals for the past 9 years. I started out working in the warehouse; I was then promoted to work as a rental coordinator. After 3 years in customer service, I was promoted to be the regional safety trainer of Manitoba. This position has pushed me to great lengths. I have learnt a lot about myself and thanks to my employers and coworkers who I call friends I am who I am today because of their guidance and support. I have worked in the construction industry for 17 years, spending the last 10 of those years with Battlefield Equipment Rentals, where I am the Branch Manager at the Corner Brook, Newfoundland facility. I started my career in 2012 as a Branch Manager in Sydney, Nova Scotia. I have been learning new things in this industry every day thanks to the diversified team I worked with and the support I received over the years. In the last year, I have been provided a new challenge as the Regional Manager of Nova Scotia. My current responsibilities are achieving our business goals and revenue targets while keeping my teams safe and having each of them return home to their families eac...h day. I oversee the daily operations of 5 stores in Nova Scotia including managing budgets, setting performance objectives, recruiting, training and supporting the management and sales teams across the province. I earned a Master’s degree in Adult Education and it provided me a base needed to support the team. It is my team that has helped me reach my professional goals. I enjoy working for this company as it provided me an opportunity to prove myself when I didn’t have specific construction industry experience. My biggest accomplishment in life is raising two young children and still being able to be a successful woman in a formally known man’s world. I have been part of the Battlefield team for almost 14 years. Now Store Manager in Montreal-East, QC, I started working for the company as a Rental Advisor and then Assistant Manager in Trois-Rivières, Qc before being promoted to Store Manager in Douville. When I first started, I was still new to the construction industry, but I gradually managed to acquire credibility in this predominantly masculine sector and I even became a reference after a while. My everyday goal is to s...upport our customers and help them find the right solutions to their needs. I think that my determination and concern for excellence have allowed me to fulfill myself and get to where I am today. As a Branch Manager, I now participate in the planning and control of the budget, I supervise the Montreal-East team which is made up of 2 women, among others and I analyze our customers’ needs and our equipment turnover to ensure efficiency, profitability and optimization of the fleet.
