Oh the morning beauty is breathtaking, Diamonds so bright in the Harbour they are hard to look at, temp 10C, wind calm, SE 9 km/h. Did you know, In the city of... Halifax it is out with the old and in with the new. Parking meters are being replaced by parking Kiosks. Something To Ponder, The Trees are showing us how Lovely it is to just let things Go. My youngest son Captain Chad Graham is homing, doing well thanks to the magical hands of his surgeon Dr. Morris, thank you from the bottom of my Heart for making a difficult decision so easy for Chad, your wisdom and skilled hands are appreciated. #brieirisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more
Foggy, windy and more rain in the forecast for today, temp 15C, wind SSE 27 km/h with gust to 40. We have had some much needed rain and I hope more to come. Did... you know, The boats set their traps today in the Digby area at 8 am. I wish them a great season and Fair Winds & Smooth Sailing. A sincere Thank You to Richard Welch and his family for their kindness and being there for us. My boys also appreciated all that you did. The good news is my youngest King Captain Chad Graham did well during his surgery, Thank you for your prayers and kind messages. Like Chad said this morning he is a Trooper and he is on top of the World, so what else could one ask for. It sure brought a lot of memories flooding back setting there yesterday looking at my gentle giant and thinking how tiny he used to be. Like he told me we have been through a lot together and this time around his brother Kenney, my oldest King was at the Helm for us, Thank you Darling for your Love and Compassion we are grateful. Something To Ponder, Love is not what you Say, Love is what you DO, we Love one another. #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more

#NovaScotia #RoadTrip Our time with the #whales in the #BayofFundy is done for the year but there are still a few place in Nova Scotia where you can learn about... whales and other #wildlife. The Nova Scotia Museum has a display room dedicated to our marine environment. Featured creature replicas you can check out include life sized sei whale, harbour porpoise, mola mola (ocean sunfish), sharks, and much more! Have you seen any or all of these creature while on tour with us?
It is a beautiful sunny morning with Diamonds in the Harbour, it is a little cooler 7C and frost on the ground, wind ENE 15 km/h, finally the wind has died down... and the sun should shine all day. Did you know, Celtic Colors International Festival will go on line this year, livestreaming their concert from October 9th to 17th and it is free. Something To Ponder, Anyone care to join me in starting the week just being Grateful for all you have? #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love, #bethankfulandgrateful See more
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, it is a beautiful sunny morning here on the rock although the weather is calling for rain, temp11C, wind NW 51 km/h. and still how...ling. Did you know, The history of Thanksgiving dates back as far as 1612 and there are many stories of folklore regarding how people celebrated Thanksgiving over the centuries. My belief is simple but sincere, I am very Thankful for my family, friends and my way of life., not what I want but what I have, simple as that and it makes my Heart Happy. Something To Ponder, I think it is just a great Day to just be Happy and Thankful, don't you agree. Happy Sunday everyone, Enjoy your day Earl & Florence, Love from home, Donnie , Marion Cheryl & Family, XO. #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love #HappyThanksgiving See more
A little overcast with the sun struggling to break through the clouds, temp12C, wind SSE 26 km/h with gusts to 38, rain in the forecast. Another long weekend fo...r folks to enjoy their families, we are so Lucky here in Nova Scotia that we have managed to stay safe and I so hope the decisions folks make here traveling keeps us this way until things get better in the World around us, wear a mask, following the rules and keep Safe. Did you know, Tuesday was the first day of online voting and phone voting period for the Halifax Region Municipality election, , over 18000 had voted by phone by 12.01 am Wednesday. This modern technology amazes me. Something To Ponder, Letting a Cat out of the Bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back In. #Brierisland #whalewatching #Marinercruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #novascotiastrong #Hope #love #Family #HappyThanksgiving #BeThankful See more
I can assure you I will be moving a little faster today, why do you ask? well it is only 6C this morning Burrrr, but we have sun and Diamonds in the Harbour, wi...nd WNW 53 km/h. It sure did blow a living gale yesterday as well, we are used to the wind and I have been expecting a dip in the temperature for sure, so just a normal day here on the rock, HA. Did you know, October 14th is dumping day for the lobster area LFA 35 in the Bay of Fundy, I was in Digby yesterday and there were a lot of boats loaded with traps on and some working at it. Something To Ponder, Only when Normal things are not Normal anymore do we realize how Special Normal Things are. #brieirsland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more
Summer Memories of a spouting humpback whale.
We had some much needed rain during the evening, not a lot but some, temp 13C, wind W 25 km/h, rain in the forecast, there sure is a big swell rolling in on Dar...tmouth point this morning and the sky is full of very dark clouds. To Ponder, Did you know Brier Island doesn't have a lot of trees that change color like on the mainland, a few but not a lot but the meadows sure look beautiful all dressed in its fall colors. Something To Ponder, You were Created to make a Difference. #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more
Talk of maybe some rain today, temp13C, wind SSE 12 km/h. We need the rain but none yet, maybe later on. Did you know. The weather lore of years gone by seems to... be correct sometimes. One I think about and it seems to happen is No weather is Ill if the wind is Still. It is so pretty when the wind is calm and when it gets dark the lights from the island shine in the Harbour and the ferry passes by my window and the lights are shining on the water. We have had a few days later with the wind calm and the days have been wonderful. Something To Ponder, Every Journey begins with a Single Step. #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more
The sky is once again full of dark slow moving clouds but there is sun in the forecast, temp 9C, wind calm S 5 km/h. No rain yesterday so the clothesline got us...ed, oh my everything smells so wonderful after it has dried on the line in the fresh salt air. Did you know, Canada will maintain restrictions on non-essential travel with the United States until the coronavirus outbreak is much less serious. I hope we here in our Atlantic Bubble continue to be protected by our government by keeping the borders closed. Something To Ponder, Most times it just boils down to Common Sense. Still lots to do on my to do list and it looks like one will be raking leaves. They sure are turning brown and filling up the ground with every frost we get, it won't be long and they will all be naked, all it will take is a breeze or two. #brierisland #whalewatching #MarinerCruises #bayoffundy #visitnovascotia #atlanticbubble #getbackup #onedayatatime #bekindtooneanother #family #novascotiastrong #Hope #Love See more
What a wonderful memory of our 2020 season. This whale watched us for a while and this spy-hopping moment shows the whale making a rotation underwater. You ca...n see the barnacles and ventral pleats on the underside of the whale and the tubercles on the top side of the whale's "face." #Whalefacemakesmehappy #Whalewatching #MarinerCruises #BrierIsland #NovaScotia
