On Nov. 24 the Government of Alberta announced new public health restrictions intended to help curb the spread of COVID-19 in the province. The Town of Peace Ri...ver is committed to supporting the Government of Alberta in their goal of reducing close contacts. Peace River is also included in the Enhanced Status area which means many of the updated restrictions apply to our community and requires our facilities to follow the new mandatory Public Health Restrictions effective November 27, 2020. - Under Business and Service Restrictions: Facilities can be open for individual studio time, training or exercise only. There can be no group fitness, group classes, group training, team practices or game. These restrictions apply to all indoor fitness, recreation, sports and physical activity centres, including dance and yoga studios, martial arts, gymnastics and private or public swimming pools. - As a result of those new mandatory Public Health restrictions, we have responded with adjustments to the Baytex Energy Centre and Peace Regional Pool Schedules. - These schedules will remain in place until at least December 18, 2020 as per the Government of Alberta order.
