For years I struggled to manage neck pain and dreaded upper trap tightness/pain/knots... Now I know that upper back restriction is the start of the problem. Moving with mindfulness and integrity within the body during a regular personalized mobility routine has been a focus of mine for a few months now, and I wanted to share this clip of my practice to help you visualize what it looks like to properly perform spine exercises and core stabilization. ... As @docjenfit explains: When addressing the back, we want to think of spinal segmental mobility. This is achievable mainly through thoracic spine and shoulder mobility exercises. Remember that ideally, the thoracic spine (upper back) should move more than the lower back, so in order to reduce pain in the upper back, neck and shoulder area, you need to go through opening up the shoulders and the thoracic spine. Note that what is demonstrated in the video is not what you should be starting with, as it is an exercise that puts all those things together. To anybody who wants to prevent a viral infection I would recommend: EAT MORE OF: Vitamin C : Strawberries, black berries, leafy greens, lemons, oranges, grapefruit, avocados,... Also good: Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, snow peas, sweet potatoes. Zinc: fish and seafood, pumpkinseeds, soybeans, eggs, legumes, whole grains Also good: lentils, sunflower seeds. Vitamin D: cod liver oil, egg yolks, butter. SUPPLEMENT WITH: Vitamin D3 with K2 until you get 15 minutes of sun exposure daily. Oregano oil because it has anti-viral properties. Its important to note here that it has been shown to be effective on some human viruses but not all. Its also anti microbial and anti fungal, and recent investigations have demonstrated that compounds found in it are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which is extremely beneficial to the immune system. Probiotics - unless there is less than one bowel movement/day - because 70% of the immune system is in the gut! Good quality vitamin C if you dont eat a lot of the foods mentioned above. INCLUDE IN YOUR LIFESTYLE: Meditation (diaphragmatic breathing) because it brings you into your parasympathetic nervous systems. This decreases your production of stress hormones, which are immunosuppressive.

What are things you can do to honour your physical sensitivity to a virus? - Remove yourself from a harsh situation or relationship - Eat a more healthy diet - Avoid chemicals in food and environment - Get more sleep - Switch to a gentler form of exercise - Speak lovingly about yourself and others We dont need more craziness in this world. We need more people taking full responsibility for their health and caring about others.
