Today is a special day for our team, as we celebrate Eric Jensen’s 40 years at Beedie. As a key member of the Beedie Construction team, Eric has worked on almost every building within our portfolio, with a story to tell about each and every one. Beginning as a young carpenter, his loyalty, work ethic, and positive attitude quickly had him taking on leadership roles. Acting as a General Superintendent for almost 20 years, Eric’s leadership skills and special way of both inspir...ing and mentoring those around him make him an incredible asset to Beedie’s leadership team and a wonderful friend for many of us at Beedie. As the current Director of Construction Practice, he continues to lead our team in further growth, sharing his years of experience, expertise, and knowledge. Andrew Clarke, Director of Construction Operations, reflects on working alongside Eric and how he has been such a central figure in Beedie’s success and the wellbeing of our team: Eric has been a key member of the Beedie Construction team for 40 years. He has had a huge impact on my life and I wouldn't be where I am today without him. He has meant so much to me as a mentor. He has been a friend, an older brother, and a father figure - someone who I could always look up to and ask for guidance. He has led me on a path to be a great person, and I can only hope to be as good as he would expect me to be. The program is calling on Grade 12 B.C. students facing financial adversity to apply for one of 105 scholarships of up to $40,000 per student, available in 2021. Legacy Business Centre is really taking shape as construction steadily progresses into the fall.
