I haven't put many of my sculptures on here. This is my latest and I'm really pleased with it. Dedicated to THIERRY LAUWERS, he is missed by many. Big debt of gratitude to my little sister Brontie who worked tirelessly with me on this one

The conditions for hosting another International Sculpture Symposium have not been favourable, but Morton Burke, the man behind it all was able to get back to shaping stone this summer! He created another in his series of Buffalo, for installation along with 10 other Bergen Rocks pieces, in Olds, Alberta alongside of Hwy 27. The project allowed Brontie Burke, an accomplished ice sculptor herself, to assist her brother on this project. Taking advantage of the chance to work alongside Morton again was Brad Callihoo who worked on a piece in the glorious Alberta summer sunshine. Also included are some photos of the atmosphere that is the home of Bergen Rocks...it is a spot with mystical qualities that simply spur on creativity!
