Nicola has been practicing in the HRM for the past 2 years and has decided to make the leap to call the Annapolis Valley home! You can finally get in for that haircut, dine in at your favourite rest...aurant, get your sweat on at your local gym, and get back on track with those health appointments you’ve been missing out on. Not only that, but grabbing a gift card for you or someone else while you’re there will go along way! Things will be a little different when you visit these businesses, so please adhere to all Public Health protocol. ***Please Read*** To our valued patients, Although the risk with respect to the COVID-19 virus is currently low within our province, it is present, and unfortunately poses a risk to increase. It is low at this time due to your prudent efforts to keep it that way, and we at Berwick Chiropractic are aiming to assist in your efforts by implementing as many precautionary measures as possible to prevent its further transmission. ... At this time we are asking that all patients who have travelled outside of Canada, or have been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, that you please contact our office to reschedule any upcoming appointments. If you have travelled recently, or been in contact with someone who has, and are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms, please follow the appropriate recommendations provided by the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Currently our practitioners and administrative staff are taking every possible effort to ensure that surfaces are disinfected/sanitized regularly, and are encouraging all patients to wash their hands upon arrival to the office. Treatment rooms are regularly disinfected between patients, and all ‘high-touch’ surfaces within the office are being disinfected/sanitized several times throughout the day. Our office is dedicated to maintaining and improving your health and well-being, and at this time these are appropriate steps we must take in an effort to minimize public risk. WE ARE BACK! The clinic will be re-opening Monday, June 8th! Although our hours will be normal, our procedures and protocols have changed to adjust to the "new normal" to ensure the safety of all our patients, staff, and practitioners. We are all so excited to be back in the office and helping those within our community again! In addition to increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting throughout the office, below is a list of changes we would like our valued patients to... be aware of, prior to and during your scheduled appointments. - In advance of your appointment you will be contacted by our receptionist and asked a list of simple COVID-19 screening questions. These questions are displayed on our exterior door and we ask that you read them prior to entering as you will be asked to answer them upon arrival, and by your practitioner prior to treatment. - Your practitioners will now be wearing masks during your treatment. As a patient, you are not obligated to wear one, but if you would like to do so, we would be very appreciative. - Please arrive on time for your appointment. While we appreciate punctuality, in order to limit contact and maximize distance between patients, we kindly ask that you wait in your vehicle until your scheduled appointment time. - Hand washing upon entry and exit is encouraged, alternatively hand sanitizer can be found in a number of locations throughout the office. - All rooms, high touch surfaces, and common contact points will be cleaned and disinfected after each patient has left the clinic. Adjusting (punn intended) to this "new normal" is a change for all of us. What hasn't changed is our intent to ensure the safest environment to provide the most effective care we can for our patients. Your practitioners will be screened daily, we are taking every precaution we can, and we are working diligently to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and happy to be resuming care.
