Eric is a god send for all my insurance needs. I am always happy to recommend him to my customers because I know he will go above and beyond every single time. He is highly accessible for questions and in the worst of times he is right beside you sorting things out in the case of a claim. If you'd like to have your home and auto (or business) insurance reviewed, I suggest you reach out to him.
Well would you look at that... made it to the voting round thanks to all of you! What a lovely way to start a new year! What do you think? Should I set up a daily reminder post?
2020 has been a challenging year for us all. My wish for you is that you are able to look back and focus on the positives, the lessons, and the growth. I am certainly doing so. I took several risks and leaps of faith this year. Some worked well, some less so. And now I am embarking on the biggest addition to my business to date - The Home Team. As we move into 2021 I am excited about all the new relationships that will be built with customers and contractors alike. For those... who were part of my 2020, thank you. For those who will be there in the year ahead, I look forward to working with you. Happy and safe new year to everyone :)

We are out doing trough cleanings today and have already discovered missing shingles on an unsuspecting homeowner's roof. That wind we had was significant so please check your roofs for any issues that need solving before they cause a bigger problem.
So here's the thing... I 100% admit that I am NOT the best mudder in town... BUT... that means I'm slower and may need more coats than those who practice the art daily. My finished product will always be stellar because I'm willing to spend that time to make it so. And every day I get better and faster might I add. This is a before picture (i.e. not my work)... Since I don't have a time machine to go back and request the framer and/or drywaller to make the appropriate adjustments at the source, we will use a different method to make the finished product look amazing. Not all problems can be solved with drywall mud. We will be using some trim to solve the problem of this drywall piece being installed in such a way that it doesn't align with the adjacent section. We will use drywall compound above and below to hide the taped seam so it looks as it should - basically one smooth surface. Stay tuned!
Today is the last day for nominating under Painting. I greatly appreciate your support in every way you all show it.
When you buy a home, surprises can be challenging. What first appeared to be a leaky trough was a big and nasty discovery. We're in the process of correcting everything and the homeowners are taking this opportunity to update the look of their home with a colour shift but this was definitely not in their short term financial forecast. I know they would have loved to receive the gift of funds in a homecare spending account as a housewarming present to help offset the cost of this unfortunate situation.
Who can guess what this is from? I'll be even more impressed if you can guess what I'm going to repurpose it for in the new Reimagine Co space!
Often the first question I get asked for painting quotes is "do I buy the paint or do you?" There are exceptions to every rule of course, but in general my advice is to let your contractor buy the materials for the job and ensure the quoted price is all inclusive of a high quality finish. We know the right quality products and often receive better pricing than you will because we purchase more often and sometimes in bulk. We build strong relationships with our suppliers to best serve you, the homeowner.
As a busy entrepreneur I don't always eat too well... add the fact that I don't enjoy cooking the way I'm sure many of you do... let's just say the local pizza place hasn't actually asked me my order in several months... I'm so glad Country Girl Catering is up and running for ready made meals. My freezer is currently full and my stomach shall follow. Fuel to keep me going to help homeowners keep their homes better than new! And maybe just maybe you can receive a special something from Meda Riley courtesy of Better Than New with your first order of home cooking you don't have to cook ;)
Keeping your home better than new requires maintenance and repairs. Here's another important tip for you. Personally I'd rather you didn't use those dryer sheets in the first place as they add to your indoor air pollution and those chemicals are also against your skin. But if you do, make sure to be maintaining your lint filter appropriately.
