Strongly recommend letting us know what you need for the Holidays as early as possible. Many products are two week delivery hence the order deadlines below. Ordering by then will see products arrive on 18 December. Our last delivery before Christmas is 24th so we have a little flex. WE ARE OPEN 10am to 11pm as normal. We are constantly monitoring the situation and may adjust business hours next week to an earlier close but our intention is that normal hours will run through Saturday March 21 at least. To facilitate social distancing we are making the following adjustments to entry/exit and to the internal layout.... 1. Please enter by the South door (the one furthest down the passageway. 2. Please exit by the North door (the one currently used for both in and out) 3. We have cleared the display space in the centre of the store to allow more room for social distancing when waiting to pay. Bowen Beer and Wine Cellar COVID19 Operations and Status 1. We are open as normal 10am to 11pm but hours are under review. We may shorten the hours but it is our intent to be open every day unless we are instructed to close by the Province or Municipality. If the latter happens, we will go to a 100% delivery model - see #4 below 2. There are no known product supply issues at this time. Inbound deliveries are still expected. We'll be increasing stock levels a bit for popular ...items. Unless you are in self-isolation I'd suggest you shop as normally as possible. 3. PLEASE use debit or credit cards (preferably tap enabled) rather than cash. Our trade association has advised us that we should stop accepting cash and this is a possibility. One just doesn't know where it's been before you got it. Another alternate is to purchase a gift card and draw upon that instead of using cash each time. 4. Starting Wednesday 18 March, we will offer a delivery service to those in self isolation or vulnerable. There are both legalities and practicalities on this that we have to work out. In general however a) This is not an 'on demand service', deliveries will be daylight hours only and will be scheduled for up to next day delivery. b) You must be home to receive it, we cannot leave alcohol at the door if no one is home c) For orders over $100 it is free, from $50 to $100, $5 delivery. We will not deliver orders under $50 so plan ahead a bit. Delivery orders must be prepaid using a credit card, we cannot accept debit or cash for these. Note that some driveways and roads on Bowen are not accessible - if we cannot easily and safely get to your address you will have to either a) have it dropped at a friend's house (same rules apply) or b) Meet us somewhere nearby. Dateline Vancouver International Wine Festival February 28, 2020. France is the theme country this year. Picking out some great new wines for Bowen. We'll be doing a tasting of our top French picks on Saturday March 28. Filling in the event schedule for 2020 at supplier meetings more Saturday events. ... Adding to two brand new BC wineries to line up this Spring: La Frenz, Naramata. New labels look great, Initially we'll be bringing in their Sav. Blanc, Viognier and Chardonnay. Corcelletes. This is a Similkameen winery and there will be two wines from them; a delicious Gewurztraminer and a Pinot Noir. I rated the Pinot as one of my two favourite BC wines at the Canadian Pinot Masterclass on Wednesday. We already carry the other favourite we already have in stock is Haywire. Busy day coming up focusing on retasting the French shortlist and International wines.
