FOSTER NEEDED - Meet URSULA. <3 What a sweet little girl. Ursula is a husky and she has been neglected. She is quite underweight at only 50 lbs. She is described as a sweet girl. SHe is very scared in the shelter. Who can blame her? We certainly would be. She came in with some wounds on her hind legs, which are apparently healing. We will be checking those out and making them better. The shelter thinks she may be 3 years tops. The shelter was not able to assess her or kennel... her with other dogs as her back legs were so sore when she first arrived, but they assure us that she is a very nice dog. We would LOVE to find Ursula a caring and kind home while she puts some weight on and recovers from her wounds. We would love to see her in a home who can baby her. Preferably no dogs until she is feeling a bit better. FOSTER NEEDED - Meet KAI. What a sweet baby. This shepherd-hound mix (hard to say) weighs 48 lbs and is about 8 months old. He has just been neutered. Kai has funny front legs- can you see in the photo? He walks just fine but he has a slight funny gait. Sometimes baby dogs that don't get the sort of exercise or food they need to develop, can have this sort of hyperextension. We have had other dogs with this and they have out-grown it with proper nutrition and exercise. We jus...t don't know yet. We need to get him properly vetted. Either way, little Kai needs a loving foster home while we sort all of this out. He is a sweet loving guy.<3 He is shy, but warms up when you give him a little snuggle. FOSTER NEEDED - Meet Ingrid. What a LOVE <3. This beauty is only 1 year old and still very much a baby. She is spayed already and weighs 65 lbs. She has been kennelled with other dogs and has done well. She is a sweet girl, but she is on the timid side. Who can blame her in a crazy loud shelter? We'd love to see this German Shepherd in a home that understand the breed. She is a baby and will likely still need training. Ingrid is not yet tested with kids (she is a baby herself and may knock down small children) and she is not tested with cats yet. FOSTER NEEDED - Meet LuLu <3 She's a beauty. LuLu is a sweet mutt mix. We see maybe some Flat Coat Retriever or a Golden Retriever mixed with maybe a distant Rottie cousin?If you google the mix they look a lot like our LuLu. Hard to say for sure. She is a sweet girl and was kennel with other dogs and did just fine. LuLu is a BIG girl at 85 lbs. The shelter seems to think she is about 8 years old, but we think her muzzle is not grey enough. She looks to be younger, but as a stray it's only ever a guess. She appears to be in good health so far <3 She is not tested with cats or kids yet. FOSTER NEEDED - Meet Lassie <3 This beautiful baby girl is 9-10 months old (best guess) , spayed and weighs about 45 lbs. We see shepherd and likely some collie (smooth coat collie?) in her. She is a beauty and still has some growing to do. Lassie is a sweetheart. Lassie is good with dogs and loves her people. She is baby and is very adaptable.She needs puppy training to become an excellent adult companion. She is not tested with cats but at this age with proper guidance fro...m a human, she certainly can be trained to co-habit with felines. <3 Also, with children she is eminently adaptable to a family. She may end up being 55-60 lbs as an adult, so it's important that mums with young kids understand that she could knock them down with her puppy energy. ADOPTER NEEDED - Meet Camila <3 What a beauty <3 This stunning 2 year old (best guess) German Shepherd weighs about 63 lbs. This shepherd is a sweetheart and very gentle. She loves her walks and she is a snuggle bug. She has done well with the resident cat (we are still assessing this budding relationship) in her foster home and plays very well with other dogs. She's very sweet with other dogs. She does not react if a dog barks at her. AMAZING !! She is a little timid of st...airs, but she is learning her way :-) Camila loves, LOVES women, but she may need some time to warm up to men - depending on the guy. She's just a bit timid. She is being fostered with a couple and she goes for long walks with her foster dad with no issue. Off-leash she tends to glue herself next to her handler. She loves car rides. She is a beautiful dog who will make a great canine companion and best friend. We have not tested her with kids and because she has a timid streak in her, we would be more comfortable placing her in a family with no young children. We are being cautious.
