ATTENTION ALL MOUNTAIN BIKERS - MACKENZIE FSR AREA - there is an active search and rescue happening for two missing community members. Please consider biking in... an alternative area while this search continues, specifically search organizers are requesting: 1. We are asking to not bring dogs above Waco. There are search and rescue dogs looking for the lost men. 2. There is a police vehicle blocking access above the Waco/Mackenzie 4 Corners. Bike access is allowed but shuttling will not be allowed. 3. There is very limited parking at the Waco/Mackenzie 4 Corners. Please do not park there. Alternative parking choices could be at Mosquito Lake or at the bottom of the Mackenzie FSR on the other side of the railroad tracks near the new soccer field. Thank you for your consideration to help support this search and bring these two men back to their families. If anyone would like to help in the search please check in with the checkpoint at Waco/Makenzie and come prepared for winter hiking, temperatures are well below zero and there has been 15cm of snow fall. The area being searched is up at the second paraglide launch, Jack the Ripper trail area.
