What is the big dill with the Christmas pickle? It was said to have started in Germany where on Christmas Eve, after the kids were in bed, parents would hide the pickle in the tree. Because of its colour it’s hard to see. The first child to find the ornament on Christmas morning receives a special gift from under the tree. This tradition has carried on until today however there is no evidence that this is true and was most likely fabricated by a German salesmen in the 1800’s. Who knew. So who does this as a Christmas tradition?
