Security analysts have stated that Meltdown, which affects Intel chips and one processor from ARM, is easier to exploit because the program to steal passwords and other data can be hidden on a website and stolen right through your web browser. Spectre requires more direct access to the microchip, but still affects CPUs from Intel, AMD and ARM. What should you do to protect your devices? You will need to update both your hardware and your software to address this vulnerability. This includes firmware updates from device manufacturers and, in some cases, updates to your antivirus software as well. Microsoft and Apple have both released patches as well as many other vendors. Updating drivers and firmware to latest versions will help mitigate the vulnerability and prevent you from being a victim! We can help!
