Client SpotlightMeet Rosanne, mom of 2, wife and mental health worker and member of our Stronger At Home program. Before starting with us she was needing a push to get motivated to exercise. She began training with us at our lunchtime workouts a couple of days per week and now exercises5-7 times a week. "Moving my body everyday, I feel so much better not only physically but mentally. It has helped me build strength in body, confidence in myself, calm and clarity of mind an...d has become one of my sources of self care." Since then not only has she learned how to exercise effectively, but she has learned simple was to tweak her food intake to get maximum nutritional effect for her body. She has taken advantage of our nutrition program and has learned to eat healthy hormone balancing meals and gained valuable insight into what her body needs to get lean, recover well, have lasting energy, better sleep and improved digestion. "I feel and look more toned, have lost weight, my energy and digestion is better." But best of all. She is setting a good example for her boys with great values, a healthy lifestyle, healthy eating habits and fitness routine. "My boys see me working out and have started working out again themselves." We offer a hybrid program since the start of the pandemic allows our clients to access live and on demand workouts. Having a compromised immunity Rosanne appreciates being able to do live online workouts safely at home with the option of doing replays at a time that is convenient for me each day. This gives her the flexibility to workout when she can. Our workouts are adapted to different skill and ability levels so it doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned athlete or just beginning your fitness journey, we can all workout together and encourage and inspire each other to keep going. "They have created such an amazing community and it’s great to be a part of it!" Stronger At Home Client Spotlight: Meet Laura, Mom of 2 and Teacher. "Your program has changed my life for the better and made quarantine a more positive experience. I am very grateful." Laura began our Stronger at Home program during the first lockdown back in March 2020. She was nervous at first to start the program but knew she needed to make a change. Her energy and moods were low and she was carrying around some unwanted weight. Her fitness was lacking, but she made t...he decision and jumped right in. Throughout her 9 months, Laura learned how to make fitness a lifestyle and eat healthier for her body. As a teacher during a pandemic, she could have left every excuse not to put in the effort and let the stress win. Having this program has made it easier for me to create a work/life balance. Today, Christmas Eve, is our last day of programming for 2020. It has been an interesting year of training to say the least, but we are very happy that we have had your support and the opportunity to work with so many athetes and clients both in person and online. Blais Performance Facility will be closed during the scheduled lockdown until we get the green light to reopen.... In the mean time, we know how important training is to your physical and mental health as well as your fitness and performance goals. We are happy to be offering our athlete virtual training once again via Zoom, beginning January 4th. Our online training was a successful transition during the first lockdow, and we are already set to be offering this service once again to our clients and athletes. Our Stay Strong At Home online program for adults looking to get lean and strong will continue with live class times and replays throughout the holidays and into 2021. If you are an athlete or an adult that wants to train and needs the extra support to start 2021 off with a bang, please reach out and we will discuss our online training options with you. Who's ready to get back into their fitness routine??? Today is the day!!! We've waited almost 6 full months to bring our adult clients back into the gym.... They have been staying strong while training at home with our at home training program and today we open our door for our adult programming We've paired the best of our at home training with our in the gym training options to provide our clients with the tools for ongoing success to get strong, fit and stay healthy. Introducing our Adult Hybrid Training Program For the adult who wants the motivation, accountability and tools for ongoing success to live a healthy and active lifestyle. We are offering 2x and 3x per week in the gym training memberships paired with our at home live and anytime workouts. We currently have sessions at 6am, 12pm and in the evening and weekends. Limited spots are available in order to offer exceptional training services while staying safe inside the gym. Our clients will receive additional nutrition and lifestyle support to stay on the path to living healthier. We are SO excited to share that, because of ALL OF OUR AMAZING CLIENTS AND your nominations, we have made it to the final 3 for the Readers Choice Awards; Best Women's Fitness Club along with Alissa Blais Coach our head women's fitness coach. Workout Wednesday Shouh out to one of our Client Sarah Burke , busy mom of 2 She started working with us a year ago, wating to change her eating habits and needing some extra motivation to get in shape for a wedding, where she would be wearing a bikini! She was doing pilates and running but was lacking strength and definition to get her to her goals.... "Joining with Dave and Alissa has been a life changing experience!" Over the past year she was extremely committed to our workout program attending the gym and followed our nutrition program which helped her make healthier choices, that still worked with an active social life! Once Covid hit, Sarah took her workouts to the basement with our online training program. "I continued to be encouraged, motivated, pushed and teased (we only do this to our favourite clients), through all my workouts in such a positive way since before Covid and beyond!" She's kept up her routine at the cottage and at home and is ready to get back into the gym this fall. She has continued to reach her training goals, doing more pushups and a stronger core than ever! " I would highly recommend you try them too! You won’t be disappointed!". She says to all her friends! Thank you for that! RECOVERY Our HP athletes are training hard on the ice this week so we've added some additional recovery into their routine with @alissablais Addressing tight hips, back and feet from spending hours on the ice along with deep breathing to restore energy levels to do it all again tomorrow.... Including a mobility, stretching/yoga and breathing routine into your training can help an athlete recover faster and perform better. It's part of all of our programs delivered at appropriate times when our athletes need it most throughout their in season and off season. Happy Monday!!! We thought we would kick things off by sharing some inspiration from one of our adult clients. Meet Natalie Bradbury, mom of 2, who has been a member with us for 9 months. ... Like many, her once full calendar was suddenly clear in Mid March 2020. Before covid, Natalie was attending about 3 sessions with us per week at our Barrie location. Once things were shut down, and we had to move our training online. "I finally have something on my calendar again that gave me purpose. I wanted to keep taking care of my mind & body." Natalie showed up to at least 4 sessions per week and even attended our recovery yoga on Sunday mornings. "Pretty sure it saved me from going crazy! Our Live sessions kept her motivated as others showed up to do the same. She started out using laundry detergent as a weight and then she upgraded to a kettlebell" Natalie has become so much stronger over the pandemic and has now created a fit lifestyle that suits her schedule, keeps her on top of her goals even as she transitioned back to work. "At Blais Performance, they really care about their clients and looking back, my little chats with Alissa or Dave’s coaching banter really helped me get through the big pause." Not to mention, Natalie also found out she had Lyme disease in May and we have been supporting her through this journey. We have been helping her with her nutrition and other lifestyle habits so that she can be the healthiest version of herself. "My goal since January was to stop feeling so run down all the time, and COVID wasn’t going to get in the way of that! Now I am back at work so things are looking different once again but I am still managing to fit fitness into my life and make my health a priority! My goal hasn’t changed." Natalie is one of many of our clients who transitioned online and now back in person for our outdoor workouts. We are grateful for your support in helping you stay fit and strong through out the pandemic and are so proud of how far you have come!
