On August 28, 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. made his world-changing I Have A Dream speech. In the spirit of his transcendental work and message, on August 28, 2020 we launched our $1 Million Scholarship Program for Black Canadians. Our goal is to remove barriers to education that have faced the Black community and in turn change the landscape of the beauty and fashion industries, both locally and nationally, by empowering applicants with the education to turn their passions int...o success. The response was overwhelming! Applicants from all over Canada shared their stories with us, affirming the need for initiatives like this one. The Selection Committee read every single application, and through a series of interviews, calls and deliberations, they were able to select the finalists.
