Lets tall about our breeding goals for our, dwarfs, standards and wild types Here at Bluedragon rattery we strive for longer lifespans. Are goal is to breed a rat with a lifespan as long as a dog! Right now we are averaging 3-4 years. (Normal lifespans are 2-3years) The dwarf rat. Naturally has a longer lifespan!... While a standard rat lives on average 2-3 years the dwarf lives 3-4 naturally. We can take that lifespan using genetics and breed a even LONGER lifespan not just for dwarfs but for standards and wild types as well! The dwarf not only has a longer lifespan but also a healthier body overall. With these genetics we can essential breed the "perfect rat" This involves a lot of breeding and patience As we have to hold rats back and study them during their life to get a accurate calculation. WILD TYPES We have rats that are "wild type" . They are much much larger then a standard. Though there lifespans are shorter. Despite there name there not actually wild! We want to take these wild types that are so large and make there lifespans longer as well! The average wild type is roughly a foot long. Nose to tail tip. Which is about 25%-35% larger then a standard. And 60%-75% larger then a dwarf. The average lifespan for a wild type is 1.5-2 years. If we breed our dwarf to our wild types we can essentially breed out the poor lifespan amd give a better one. Overall our goal is to breed out the bad and make the "rat" a better species as a whole. I hope this shined some light on what we do here and how much work we do to make sure you have your furry friend for as long as possible!

Hello fellow rat enthusiast. It has come to my attention they a lady by the name Deana is harrassing me and my page because i reported her to animal welfare. Please ignore the review I only tried to explain the laws and proper care. She got angry and refused. I contacted authoritys for the safety of the animals in her care.... She claims she only feed mazuri. That food is considers garbage. She doesnt feed fresh fruits and veggies or any wheat or proteins. They are kibble fed. She sells for food So not only is she making her rats sick. She is making snakes sick! I am truly outraged at such a person being in my city. No worries though. She is being dealt with. Since she posted with her facebook page there is now a way for them to contact her. Thanks have a blessed day See more

I was finally able to get my 1bois to safety and my friend who has my bois found my little lightning alive and well in with the bois. Sadly Salt and Pepper are still M.I.A presumed dead.
