Week special Oct 29th-Nov 2nd you could save over 50% on your very own pistol shrimp!! We do have a few kinds of gobies in stock !! Indo order coming in later today as well Pistol Shrimp are generally symbiotic with species of small fish or echinoderms. ... The shrimp builds a burrow that it shares with the goby. In return, the goby 'watches' at the burrow entrance and notifies the shrimp of danger with its tail. They are a fun pair to watch !!
It just so happens that we have a bonded pair at the shop !! The Tangaroa Goby is a beautiful species from the Indo-Pacific that is opaque in color with many red and white flecks covering the entire body. They have a very dramatic, long dorsal fin that is black in coloration. They are a wonderful fish for a passive fish only or reef aquarium, and may form a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp. The Tangaroa Goby is best suited for a 10-gallon or larger aquarium that c...ontains plenty of live rock and a sand bed. It is not aggressive towards other shrimp gobies and may even share a burrow with another species. Being territorial, it may occasionally quarrel with conspecifics if kept together, or if the tank is too small. The diet should consist of mysis shrimp, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and chopped table shrimp. The Tangaroa Goby should be fed at least daily.

One of the very few angels considered reef safe The Lamarck's Angelfish (or Lamark Angelfish) is also called the Freckletail Lyretail Angelfish. They have the distinction among angelfish of being sexually dimorphic. Both male and female are a silvery-gray with horizontal black stripes from eye to caudal fin. The female's stripes are bolder with one extending into and covering the length of the caudal fin. In both, the long dorsal fin is black, although larger in the female..., and the caudal fin is freckled with black. More easily kept than some other angelfish, the Lamarck's Angelfish requires a well-maintained tank of at least 125 gallons. They may chase small, docile planktivores such as Anthias, Fairy Wrasses, Flasher Wrasses, and Fire Gobies but will usually ignore other fish, including other Angels. Only one male Lamarck's Angelfish should be kept per tank. Fish of the genus Genicanthus are the only zooplanktivores among the angelfish. The diet should consist of Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and mysis or frozen shrimp.
Best idea I feel like people would actually want to go to work if they had a mini reef/social distancing desk !!
I just can’t get tired of watching these two
Just a few snaps of some new arrivals Top view is my favourite!!!
Alright who needs a little help getting rid of some algae in their tank ?? We got a weekend special on The Sailfin/Algae Blenny is notable for its unique looks and winning personality. With a mottled tan color, oversized eyes, and typical body shape of the Blenniidae family, Salarias fasciatus adds visual appeal to any marine aquarium. But despite its tendency to grow to an impressive 5" in size in the home aquarium, the Sailfin/Algae Blenny remains peaceful, active and, th...erefore, fun to observe. Also referred to as the Jewelled Rockskipper, Lawnmower, or Rock Blenny, the Sailfin/Algae Blenny is native to the reefs across the Indo-Pacific. Like other Blennies, the Sailfin/Algae Blenny will perch on live rock, hide in caves, hop across the substrate, and graze on microalgae. Therefore, it requires a larger system with a variety of live rock and rockwork. The Sailfin/Algae Blenny is peaceful towards other fish unless the tank mate is similar in shape or appearance to the blenny. It is best to house the Sailfin/Algae Blenny singly unless kept in a larger aquarium and the two are a mated pair. It is known to nip at small-polyped stony coral and clam mantles. The Sailfin/Algae Blenny does best in well-established aquariums with large amounts of natural algae to feed on. The diet can be supplemented with vegetable matter, spirulina, and herbivore preparations.
Quick reminder we are closed today for Labour Day !! The Arrow Crab, also known as the Spider Crab, has extremely long legs. It is called the Arrow Crab because of the shape of the body and head. The size is variable, many reaching six inches, and some up to 10 inches. Females may be dramatically smaller. Different species inhabit different parts of the world. The most common Arrow Crab (Stenorhynchus seticornis) comes from the Caribbean, but other species are imported from ...the Indo-Pacific region, eastern Africa, and California. They normally inhabit portions of the reef usually associated with a small cave or crevice. It is a hardy, long-lived invertebrate, that can be housed in the reef aquarium. This crab has been known to attack crustaceans such as Banded Coral Shrimp, and may even attack small slow moving fish. All crabs are opportunistic feeders and if insufficient food is present they may pick at mushrooms or polyps searching for food. However, Arrow Crabs may provide the beneficial service of eating smaller Bristle Worms which some consider pests. It will accept almost all meaty, flake and tablet foods. See more
We will be closed on Monday the 7th for Labour Day open 10-5 this weekendWe will be closed on Monday the 7th for Labour Day open 10-5 this weekend
Im shocked that this gorgeous fish is still here look at those colours Description below I have updated our stock lists check them out ...... https://docs.google.com//10q0yE8VnIVCDI-xuEkhRhJlpzVo/edit https://docs.google.com//1WKJ88XIGBP_DIxBATM02bpW9KDh/edit The Multicolored Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse is also known as the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse. The male has a bright yellow and red body with blue, brown, and white ornamentation. The females generally do not have quite as bold markings as the males. When courting, the male will display an increased color intensity. A 50 gallon or larger aquarium, either fish-only or reef, with a shaded area is recommended. The Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse will not bother fish or invertebrates, making them a perfect addition to any reef aquarium. These fish do like to jump, so a tight fitting canopy is required. The Multicolor Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.
We got a couple nice size purple tangs in Updated Stock lists https://docs.google.com//10q0yE8VnIVCDI-xuEkhRhJlpzVo/edit... https://docs.google.com//1WKJ88XIGBP_DIxBATM02bpW9KDh/edit The Purple Tang is blue to purple in color with a yellow tail and yellow accents on the pectoral fins. This fish was formally known only to the coral reefs of the Red Sea, but it is now found in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden and in the waters off Sri Lanka as well. It usually lives singly, but can occasionally be found in schools in the southern Red Sea. Adults can reach a size of 10 inches. The Purple Tang is one of the most prized specimens of all saltwater fish for its coloration, and one of the most popular Tangs for the reef aquarium. If housed properly, it is a rewarding and attractive addition to any large fish-only tank, or reef aquarium. If keeping them, be sure to provide good lighting, lots of free-swimming space and plenty of potential hiding spots. They can be very aggressive and do not fare well with tank mates of similar body shape, especially other Tangs of the genus Zebrasoma. Although Tangs will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important that they are offered plenty of marine-based seaweed and algae. This will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve their overall health. Offer dried seaweed tied to a rock or use a veggie clip, and feed at least 3 times per week. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad and Ocean Nutrition are all ideal products and are very easy to use.
I think these are pretty cute We have 3 available only $80 The Mimic Half Black Tang, also known as the Mimic Surgeonfish, make excellent additions to your reef community because they are peaceful, readily accept prepared foods, and won't outgrow their surroundings too quickly. The Mimic Half Black Tang closely resembles the Half Black Dwarf Angelfish to help avoid predation in the wild. In its natural habitat, the Mimic Half Black Tang is constantly on the move in search ...for filamentous algae. A 125 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of water movement, large amounts of live rock, ample swimming room, and territories within the live rock is necessary. Although tangs will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important that they are offered plenty of marine based seaweed and algae. This will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression and improve their overall health. Offer dried seaweed tied to a rock or use a veggie clip, and feed at least 3 times per week. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad and Seaweed Selects are all ideal products and are very easy to use. These are great fish for controlling algae in the saltwater fish or reef aquarium.
