To be precise, it is Whale Grey and Silver Cloud but my sad attempt at a joke wouldn't have worked otherwise. Vivian did an impeccable job on this project. There is plenty of organized storage, functional eating space and a light airy feel that blends perfectly with the ...rest of the house. Tying it all together is the Caesarstone quartz countertop in Bianco Drift- a very popular and classic choice if you find all the countertop samples overwhelming. Here is something that has absolutely nothing to do with kitchens or cabinetry but we howled too hard not to share this. A little background- our Dad used to draw this little sketch all the time when we were kids, Kilroy. Now, last week he was tinkering around the showroom and BAM, we had a very unintentional blast form the past. He had no idea we snapped his picture but I have to say, the resemblance is uncanny! We are always so happy when a client sends us follow-up pictures of their project. Oftentimes, we see the project when there is still lots of construction going on in other areas of the house, so to see one that has come together in its entirety and has the clients special personal touches is a treat. This project by Barberlane Developments was in an up and coming neighborhood in East Vancouver. The owners of the home really wanted to keep the heritage vibe but add a few mod...ern touches. Sarka, our designer, created a perfect two toned kitchen with satin brass handles only on the base cabinets to further help blend the heritage and modern together. The uppers used TIP-ON hardware which allows you to simply push on the doors to open, creating the sleek look we have here. You may also notice the second kitchen in the pictures; the homeowners created a really comfy suite in the basement that Im pretty sure is going to make guests want to stay forever! So, apparently snooping in bathrooms is a thing; Ive never understood it...why do I care what ointment you are using and for where. But, to satisfy the curiosities of many, we are allowing you to snoop, just the design, of this bathroom. This is the same home as the highly popular green and white kitchen that we posted about on Wednesday. A reminder, this was the personal home of one of our in-house designers at Blue Mountain Kitchens and obviously his incredible design ski...lls have extended throughout the whole house. The cabinetry is a charcoal black paired with an Omnia Quartz countertop in Willow. The hardware is a champagne bronze finish by Richelieu, the same that we saw in the kitchen. And because we just know someone will ask, the mirrors were a special find on Wayfair And for the record, we did not snoop in Brydens drawers or medicine cabinet....for long. Warning! This post may make you feel seriously green with kitchen envy. This stunner was designed by one of our in house designers at Blue Mountain Kitchens for his personal home in Chilliwack. I feel like this kitchen is a nice departure from all the beautiful blues we have been doing lately. This is a little slice of design heaven! Interior Design did a feature on a project we were lucky enough to do all the cabinetry and built-ins for. I know we profiled this project a few weeks ago but we just had to share the article with you. Progress update! We have been working on a really beautiful project in Abottsford and wanted to share some of the progress with you! As you can see from the pictures, a lot of thought and design has gone in to every detail. It really feels like they brought the outdoors in with all the rustic finishes, exposed beams and natural stone. I bet this house will look stunning all decorated for Christmas- oops, probably too soon to be mentioning Christmas! As always we are so hono...ured when a homeowner chooses us, we know they have so many companies to choose. Her artsy upbringing made interior design a natural fit for her as did her travels through Europe and seeing the mixture of old and new in the architecture. Little do people know that Julie has actually been with Blue Mountain Kitchens longer than any of the other designers! As many of you know weve grown a lot th...is past year and the good ol days were Jared and Julie working out of our original location in Maple Ridge! Shes really seen and been part of our growth. Throughout it all she has be so positive and open to learning and growing! We also have to send her a special little thank you for all her patience during the renovation. Just like Bryden, they still managed to be productive amongst the renovation chaos! Thank you Julie for being part of our team and sticking with us through all our trials and tribulations! Happy hump day! What better way to sail into the last part of the week than with an employee profile! It is time to introduce Bryden! Bryden is one of our oldest employees ...in terms of length with the company, not age! (I really felt like I needed to clarify that!). He is the lead designer over at the Maple Ridge location, a BCIT Graduate and an extremely important member of the team. He is the one that has given us the time to focus our energy into setting up the Coquitlam... location by ensuring the Maple Ridge location runs smoothly. Bryden also dealt with the Maple Ridge reno like a boss! He endured the construction mess, the noise, the absence of any real space to bring clients to and the lack of natural lighting. Throughout all this he still designed, developed new business and managed his project load. This is a lot to ask of your employees and we are grateful that his positive attitude continued to shine through. Thanks Bryden for all you do for Blue Mountain and all you have done! We appreciate how you are always willing to go above and beyond for BMK!

Our Grab n Go line will be warehoused at our Coquitlam location so that meant rehabbing the whole back warehouse to get ready. We are happy to say that we are almost set up! A huge thanks to Jason G, Jason L, and Bi...ll for helping us lug around way too heavy boxes and get them situated on their racking. As you can see from the pictures, Jared was so exhausted that he fell asleep on our stair ladder....that must be why his eyes are closed, right?
