This 1966 Chevelle 396 SS was completely torn apart and rebuilt a few years ago. This car was a basket case when we started. Every panel was rotten and stuffed with filler. At one time in its life the car was cutt in half an a doner clip was brazed and fiberglassed in. This car would have been a perfect candidate for a new body. Without one available, every possible replacement panel was utilized and the panels that couldn’t get replaced got rebuilt....with steel! This origin...al 396 SS car was updated with a Tremec 5 speed, eaton true trac rear diff, fitech efi, umi and hotchkis suspension, right stuff power disc brakes, power steering, new upholstery, new glass, shaved firewall, shaved drip rails, moulded a pillars, functional hood vents, custom modified dash, auto meter gauges and vintage air. All done in house. This killer custom built Camaro came in for a little ouch correction. A major paint manufacturer used this car to show case a prototype water based candy paint at Sema a few years back. Too bad they didn’t end up producing the colour. Would have made my job of matching it a lot easier. Thanks to Marc @fastcompanycanada for bringing me in on this job
