S E R V I C E || Toured our completed design for COLLEGE PARK DENTAL in Lloydminster this week. This is Bold Designs second completed dental clinic in Lloydminster. A few words from our amazing Client, Dr. Strang: "I was exciting to start planning my new office in a brand new building. There were endless possibilities given the clean slate I was starting with but I didnt really have idea of where to go from there. I was referred by some colleagues to Troy at Bold Design.... We met and I explained to him I knew what design features I like and which ones I dont, but I didnt know what I wanted or where to start in designing a Dental Office. He has a good understanding on how the trades people actually have to get the job done. It was very reassuring to see he understood the product beyond how nice it looked. I cant thank Troy at Bold Design enough for helping me create the new home of College Park Dental. Anyone who decides to build from scratch fill find out there are a lot of stressful days and Bold Design was a huge factor in alleviating many of the. UPDATE || College Park Dental is sure coming along in Lloydminster. Opening in a few short weeks, a high-end, modern dental clinic. Oh and the blue lights over the reception desk are actually RGB and will change colour with the mood of the day;) The reception has 10 foot ceilings, an amazing built-in bench clad in wood and marble. The reception desk area is adorned with wood veneer and black PrimaStone marble. An acoustical felt ceiling, the RGB lighting and striking floor to ceiling large slab tile feature help anchor your eye. Featuring 8 chairs in both semi-private & private layouts, and ample natural light, this clinic will sure make going to the dentist that much better!

W O R K S H O P || One thing that we love about what we are learning here in Palm Springs during modernism week, is the continued repurposing of buildings to keep the light on their history and revive new life into them. For example, tonights dining experience is the award winning @workshopkitchenbar, is housed in the historic El Paseo Building, a gorgeous 1920s Spanish Eclectic complex. While not a mod-century modern building, this respect of historical buildings furthe...r highlights current desires to keep the past alive. Something we feel more developers in our own backyard in Edmonton should do.
