I am absolutely THRILLED that one of my clients is completely virtual. She has access to her client files via my server so at any time if she needs a file - it is at her fingertips. She can be ready for any bail hearing, pre-trial conference or court appearance. She can be ready for a 1 to 1 client interview via Zoom or telephone and all of the disclosure is right there and available. Yes, I still have the physical file and all of the disclosure printed - BUT it is also s...canned so it is like she has the physical file in her office. When required for trial prep - the physical file is available. I'm excited this has happened and it is how I wanted it to be in the first place. I maintain her client list, ebilling records, set up templates and am able to download disclosure to print & organize, it's never been easier! Contact me now at (604) 366-5072 or via [email protected] for further information. See more

So I've had a file explosion not only in my home office but expanded to my bedroom. There are more boxes on the floor. I'm getting these all sorted out to get them scanned as PDF files for electronic storage then off they go to Iron Mountain for file destruction. Can you imagine being a lawyer and having boxes upon boxes stacked around you? I can help with year end file organization. Affordable rates are available .

This has just been approved as a screening device. I'm not sure if municipal or RCMP are using these yet. But if not - they will be coming to this province.

Alert to criminal defence counsel: This just happened. The "Intoxilyzer 800" has been approved as an alcohol screening device. I'll also add to this post the information on the device.

Ackkkk....year end on top of year end and its only September. Super excited to go paperless so I'm boxing up files that need to be scanned. What is even better? My clients will receive a secure link to their open client matters so they are ready for a bail hearing at any time. Also access to closed files in case a client breaches a probation order OR wants to vary a condition or length of their order. All remotely and all a part of my service packages. No more offsite storage with boxes and boxes of files & the additional cost. The only physical files I keep are any trust or fee agreement files as currently I'm only working with criminal law until I expand my other areas.
