The Wren had a couple patio heaters stolen earlier this week, but thankfully Left Field Brewery came through with a spare! It may be getting colder, but patio season isn't over yet. Bundle up, bring your blankets, and support our local businesses!
It's #TakeOutDay again and there are plenty of restaurants in the East-End that could use your support! What's your go-to spot for dinner in the neighbourhood?

I hope everyone had a happy and healthy #Thanksgiving long weekend! As we continue to see COVID's resurgence, we all need to take the proper precautions against it. Wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and limit trips outside your home as much as you can.
The #BigArtTO program has been projecting murals onto iconic Toronto buildings for the past few weeks, bringing some beautiful art to our neighbourhoods. Donald Summerville Pool will be hosting one of the upcoming installations, Life Preserver, Oct 21 - 24 nightly from 7 - 10pm!
Our community is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Canada and we need to ensure that folks are able to use them safely. I spoke with staff last week to determine what steps we can take to improve safety on our waterfront.
We need smart, practical solutions to support the transition towards electric vehicles in our neighbourhoods. Great meeting with neighbours on Fernwood Park Avenue to discuss road safety and bringing our infrastructure into the 21st century!
Thank you to everyone from the community who joined our virtual community meeting last night! It was great to (virtually) see so many of you, and I appreciate the questions that were asked and dialogues that were opened as a result. We covered a wide variety of topics, from general community safety during the pandemic to addressing systemic racism. We know that there is much more work to be done to truly make our society equal, but we are fully committed to that work. If you have any concerns that were not brought up in our meeting, please reach out! I can always be contacted at [email protected].
#COVID cases continue to see a resurgence in Ontario and we all need to take precautions to protect ourselves and our community. Download the COVID Alert app and receive anonymous notifications if you were potentially exposed. More info: https://www.canada.ca//coronavirus-diseas/covid-alert.html
