Two more weeks until we put in our December coffee order. With our girls being so young this year most days they don't have any homework so we have been learning about instruments and how they can make different sounds. Last week we finished Peter and the Wolf and today we are starting this fantastic story! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRgwrIOptlw If you have children in your life who are at all interested in music check out Classical Kids stories. Educational stories about composers and fun to listen to as well!

We know it's only November 18 but Christmas comes early when you are trying to learn music before the 25. Stay tuned for a sneak peak of all the new holiday happenings here at Branches!

Amid the new COVID-19 restrictions we are still up and running due to our size and the precautions we have already put in place to protect our students. This means, in this difficult time, we still need your support. Share our page with your friends, consider becoming a donor, or get involved by volunteering or donating winter gear to our warm winter initiative. With winter approaching, we want to make sure that our Branches students have all the gear they need to stay warm. For this reason, we are asking for donations of new or gently used toques, mitts/gloves, scarves or new warm socks, that we can gift to our students if they have a need. We currently have four female students, ages 8-14. Any donations beyond what our students can use will be donated to an organization like Lethbridge Angel Tree. If you would like to donate, email [email protected] or message us here so that we can arrange how to pick up or have you drop of your item. Thank you in advance for caring for our students this winter!

One of our biggest tasks through October was submitting grant applications to the Community Foundation and the Emergency Community Support Fund. We just learned that due to overwhelming need we will not receive funding from the ECSF at this time. This means we will continue to rely on the generosity of our community to keep Branches up and running. We know the value of our program, and are already seeing its benefit in the lives of our students. Please consider supporting us financially as you are able.
