I am delighted and proud to share that the Mohawk Park fully accessible playground renovation is now complete and open to the public starting today. As one of t...he City’s oldest and most beloved parks, it is even more special now because of the unique design features that make it more inclusive and barrier free for children of all abilities to experience and enjoy. While we recognize that many people will be eager to visit the new playground, I want to stress how important it is to adhere to the COVID-19 rules that need to remain in place to keep visitors safe, including limits of 25 children maximum at a time, for 30 minutes at a time. Please follow the rules outlined on signage at the park and respect City staff who will be monitoring usage of the playground. My sincere thanks to the Brantford Parks & Recreation team for their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work, resulting in a vibrant new space that will be enjoyed for years to come. See more

SNOWSTORM TIMELINE VALID: Sunday, Nov. 22 - Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 Good evening! In case you missed it in our full forecast; With the first significant winter st...orm ahead of us for Southern Ontario, we thought this would be a good time to launch some new graphics we’ve been working on over the past few months. One of the most frequent questions we get is usually about timing for a specific location or region so we’ve broken down the province into 12 zones and outlined the precipitation timing hour by hour to help you better plan out your day. Obviously, it won’t be perfect as the forecast can change but hopefully, it’ll give you a rough idea of what to expect for your area. We tried our best to cover all the major population centres so if you can’t find your location then find the city on the graphic that is closest to you. Let us know what you think of the new graphic in the comments. You can find all the details on the upcoming storm including accumulation maps here: https://instantweatherinc.com//first-snowstorm-of-the-seas - Brennen P.
