Happy Thanksgiving everyone! put some cranberry Brassica mustard on those turkey leftover sandwiches! :)

Okay everyone...you might think BBQ season is over - but Southern Alberta has been having some great weather so why not break out the BBQ? ...and this sauce could really be used as a marinade too... so here's a tried and true recipe. Hope you like it! what's YOUR favourite way to use our Dill mustard? Brassica's Dill BBQ Sauce... 0.25 Cup Canola Oil 1 Onion Large - Coarsely chopped 2 carrots - coarsely chopped 2 Celery- Coarsely chopped 12 whole Garlic Cloves 2 Cups tomato Ketchup 1 Small can of tomato paste 1 Cup Apple cider vinegar 2 Cups Red Wine 1 cup Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp. Chili Flakes 4 Tbsp Dry Thyme 2 Tbsp. Whole Black Peppercorns 4 Whole Cloves 1 Tbsp. Ground Allspice 1 Cinnamon Stick 1 Cup Brassica Dill Mustard 1. Reserve the Brassica Dill Mustard until later. 2. In large stainless saucepan over medium heat, sweat the onion, garlic, carrots and celery until slightly golden. 3. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes. 4. Strain and stir in the Brassica Dill Mustard. Cool and use on all BBQ items!

We have received a few emails, face book messages etc.. about Millarville Farmers Market and when we will be attending. We have decided to only attend the market on select dates this year. The dates that Brassica Mustard will be at Millarville are July 26, Aug 2 Aug 16 Sept 13 and Sept 27. Since we are not at the Market weekly they move us around. So please take a morning, enjoy an amazing summer drive and come find us at the Millarville Market. If you do see us there say "Hi and let us know that you are a friend from Facebook." Millarviller Market runs from 9 am to 2pm hope you can come by and visit. We will also be at the Millarville Christmas market.

As so many Calgarians are marking the anniversary of last year's flood disaster, we wanted to send a shout out to all our local distributers in #yyc. It's so amazing what everyone has been able to get through in the last year as we all recover! We also want to remind everyone to support Calgary's fatastic owner operated local businesses, especially in all the flood affected areas downtown and inglewood, mission etc. Those businesses support us so let's support them... #yycflood

It's APRIL FOOL'S day... I don't k ow which mustard goes well with pranks ... But in France it's called poison d'Avril... Which literally translates to "fish of april"... And there's plenty of good mustard that goes with fish. Use the garlic mustard or black pepper mustard on grilled salmon it's delish! Happy fish day! ;)

It's sort of spring like in Alberta these last few days (crossing fingers, knocking on wood)... Seems about the right time to BBQ... Know what goes good with bar-b-qued anything? Yup...

Yesterday i put Brassica horseradish mustard on my perogies... Today it is more than 20 degrees warmer ... Coincidence?

the more mustard a person puts on a sandwich is directly correlated to the ending of the polar vortex... just saying...

it's finally warming up in Alberta! ... or maybe it's just all the horseradish mustard we've been eating around here?!

also, for all those Christmas parties coming up at friend's and family's homes... you don't always have to bring a bottle of wine... bringing a jar a fabulous cranberry mustard is both festive and fun! the mustard goes great with cheese and crackers!!
