This weekend we are enjoying a very unique olive oil! Hailing from the Andalusia region of Spain this olive oil is made with delicate Arbequina olives and smoked with organic oak wood! It is extremely versatile; perfect to use in salad dressings, drizzle over roasted veggies & meats, even add a splash to mashed potatoes! It is a subtle flavour that adds depth to any dish without overpowering!

We have guavas!!! These little gems are full of antioxidants, potassium, and fibre! Best enjoyed when the guavas ripen- turning from darker green to a lighter yellow-green colour. The more yellow the more ripe they are! Sometimes they will have a touch of pink, but not always. They will also get softer and you will be able to smell their sweet perfume! You can eat the entire fruit, rind, seeds and all. The seeds are quite hard to be careful biting into them! (Did you know: there is more vitamin c in the rind of a guava than in an entire orange!?) Guavas can be sliced and eaten fresh in wedges (like an apple), they are also great in cooking as they are high in pectin! Great added to jams, in pies, and even used in glazes for grilled meats! We cant wait to try them!
