At BrightPath Kitchener, we have been working hard to ensure that the children are safe, healthy and free to express a broad range of emotions daily. A large part of children's development includes imaginative and dramatic play. Some of our preschool students used a disconnected phone as a thermometer and checked each other's temperatures! One child even moved the hair off of another child's forehead as that's what the screener does at the front door each morning to ensure they get a correct reading!

Sticker Matching Game | Age: 2+ In this week’s craft video, we show how you make your very own matching game right at home. This activity is simple to make and can be played again and again. YOU WILL NEED: - Construction paper (any colour you like)... - Stickers (make sure you have doubles of all the stickers you would like to use) - Scissors DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut your construction paper into two strips and then cut those strips into squares. We recommend cutting out 8-10 squares for this activity. 2. Place a sticker on each square. Alternatively, you can also draw your own pictures on the squares if you don’t want to use stickers. 3. Turn all your matching squares over and mix them up. 4. Show your child how to play the game. Turn over one square and then another. If the stickers don’t match, place them both face down again. Science - Understanding diffusion and transformation YOU WILL NEED: - Paper towel - Permanent markers - Container filled with water DIRECTIONS: Fold a piece of paper towel in half and on the outside draw a picture in black permanent marker, but don't colour it in. Open your paper towel and on the inside, draw the same picture but in colour.
