Farm Animals Week: Although some of our learning houses were closed, Grey House 2, Yellow House, Brown House, White#3, and Green House were open. The children have enjoyed learning about animals that lives on the farm. They played with horses, sheep, goats, pigs and cows on green grass ( green coloured pasta). They also had the opportunity to milk cows! Although it is not the same all around us, our... learning houses provide the learning, the calmness and the normalcy in the life of our children. See more
I went to Pink House and Grey House 1 because I needed to get something. I was greeted by disinfected toys, by table activities waiting to be explored by the children. The houses are deafeningly silent. Gone are the laughters, and screams of delight, screams or frustrations and cries. There was no one running, no one throwing toys. I dont have to say inside voice. I dont have to say walking feet. I dont have to say gentle hands. No one is greeting me Hi Ms. Dowa. And I ...miss these. I want to say inside voice, walking feet, gentle hands. I want to say wheres my hug? I want to say, are you being a good boy? Are you being a good girl? I want to see the smiles. I want the see the laughters and the cries. I want to see running children. I want to see children wanting the same toys. I want the chaos! I. MISS. THE. CHILDREN. SO. BAD! And its ok to cry and be sad. At the moment there are a few children at Grey House 2, Yellow House, Brown House, White#3, and Green. The staffs are trying their best to keep it fun and normal for the children in those houses. I know we can do this. We have each others back. Together, we are brilliant!
