It was so nice to see so many of my piano students dressed up this week online or in person! Several came by to grab some great practicing rewards and treat bags! It’s so nice to be a part of their lives right now.

Oh I have to laugh ! Many of my students are currently learning O Danny Boy and struggling to sing along. No wonder! This clip captures the range well!

Savour the good! One of the high points of my week was seeing a very exuberant 5 year old girl play the chording to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and a number other songs while singing her heart out! This combo of Mom and Me lessons is working very well. The five year old is learning half a song ( the right hand part) and the mom continues on to learn the whole song. Then the mom teaches the 5 year old the whole song by the end of the week! Both Mom and daughter are progressing quickly and with great delight at their progress. Apparently, the 5 year old is crazy about piano and plays 7 days a week! I’m so happy this is working so well for this Mom and Daughter team.:). So fun!

I am so thrilled with the progress of so many students. Here is Georgia who has only had 3 lessons. She worked to play along with the audio recording of Night Storm and sent me this video today. Yay, Georgia! Way to use your tools of video, voice, audio recordings and reference notes. These tools are the keys to taking full advantage of Simply Music method!

Why do I teach piano? It’s because it is fun and empowers others to find joy and connect with friends and family.
