Jarrett Herbison to Add Part Time 358 Modified Events in 2021 By: Tim Baltz(Photo Credit Henry Hannewyk Photography) Since his career began in the go kart ranks several seasons ago Jarrett Herbison has been a force in the region. From his many wins and championships in the karting ranks, to his recent success in the DIRTcar Sportsman ranks, it brought the attention of a sponsor, which will help propel the young driver to the next level of his racing career.... Brent Karel from Limestone Limousine has come on board recently with the Herbison racing team and will join Herbison as car owners for select 358 Modified events for during the 2021 season, while he also continues the pursuit of joining his father Chris as a Sportsman track champion at the Brockville Ontario Speedway Saturday nights. Karel added that Jarrett has a bright future in the sport and look forward to his debut in the Modified on a part time basis as we prepare and learn before we go at it full time in 2022. In the pandemic shortened 2020 season Herbison added to his career win total with a win at the Cornwall Motor Speedway on July 25th. One week later the hard charger from Brockville added a second checkered flag of the year at the Brockville Ontario Speedway. Herbison also had a solid performance in the TAS Racing Sportsman Series at Cornwall finishing 5th in points. He scored three top five finishes including his best career series finish of 2nd in the series opener on September 6th. Just when the newly formed Bandit Racing Team will make its 358 Modified debut next season has not been decided at the present time and the team is hoping to land more sponsorship to run special 358 Modified shows following the regular season in 2021. With his father Chris still active and winning races in the 358 ranks, you can bet that all eyes will be on the popular father/son combination, as Jarrett rolls onto the speedway in his first event, next year.

Attention All Mini Stock Drivers; As you are all aware, we have been working on the rules to get the rules equal for Brockville and Cornwall Speedway to give you the option to race two nights a weekend under the same rules. With great input from many of you, we have a set of rules to start the 2021 season. As noted during our meetings we had with you at both tracks, if changes are required from the set rules, we have completed to ensure an equal playing field, changes will be... made. We will have a few meetings with you guys at the track as the 2021 season moves along to see if there are changes required. We are all in this together and we will ensure we are all on the same page, if we are to make changes. The plan will be to have a set of rules that are sound and equal for all; as we move into the 2022 season. 2021 Rules are posted on the Brockville , soon on Cornwall Speedway Web page, under rules. Any questions, feel free to contact us. Mike Kelly ([email protected]) Ted Lesage ([email protected]) See more

To All Fall National Drivers, Crew Members and Fans; I personally want to thank everyone of you for your cooperation during the entire weekend for your response in lining up when you were called, as well for your cooperation with your on-track actions. Yes, we fought weather making an extremely fast race track both days and we can’t control what mother nature dealt us; but each and everyone of you including your crew handled the situation with great gratitude. To all the fans..., what can I say with the temperatures along with the dampness you are all troopers for hanging in there till the end or I guess I should say early morning! With the amount of racing that took place over the two days overall everything went well. Correct, I know some of you are thinking otherwise because of the late morning hour we completed both nights. Yes, I agree and if anybody knows me, they know I do everything in my power to run a quick and efficient show. If you add up all the extra time during yellow’s that track crew had to work hard to get the water cleaned up, that was splashed onto the track from the mess mother nature left us along with the several of red flags. Deep down I think you all can agree, that soaked up a lot of time over the two evenings. I’m sure I hit a nerve with some of you for on track actions but that’s the way it goes sometimes. To all the track crew, safety crew, BOS staff and to Paul for working his ass off to ensure we had a track to race on. From my perch each and everyone of you made the weekend fun to be part of and successful during all the covid19 restrictions. Great job everyone! I think on a whole; people over the weekend realize I call a spade a spade. Was everything all bright and colorful with the way everything run; Absolutely not! Although what was bright about it was, we learned more were improvements can be made and plans will be in place to ensure we continue to grow with improvements to make 2021 and beyond Fall Nationals even better. Thanks to everyone of you. As well, regardless what you experienced over the weekend good or bad everybody should be standing up and giving a huge thank you to Paul and Cheryl for hosting this weekend under the covid19 restrictions. Fall Nationals went well in Brockville for us. In a stout field of 35 cars we came home 3rd. This track has a great community behind it and I want to extend a... sincere thank you to all the people and businesses who supported the event with bonus lap money. Also have to thank the staff that stuck with it through a couple late nights. That’s a wrap on 2020 for us didn’t get a win but got to go down the road and get some experience at two great tracks.
