The 5Rs has many volunteers that make our store great. Some of our volunteers are seniors, some have health issues. Because we care about our customers and our volunteers we have instituted a new firm policy, no exceptions: ***NO MASK = NO ENTRY*** If you have health conditions that make it impossible for you to wear a mask (either a cloth or disposable mask or a plastic shield) we ask you to wait and come into the store 15 mins before close... so the manager can assist you. Our volunteers working in the store have not made this decision - the Board of The 5Rs as well as the manager have because we care about the health and well-being of our volunteers. Please do not abuse our volunteers over this decision; they're following the rules. If you would like to purchase a disposable mask so that you can enter our store, we have some available in the store to purchase for $1. Enjoy your shopping!

We will start taking donations Friday, July 31, 2020 @ 12 noon. With few rules: 1) we can only take donations at the back door of the store. 2) donations have to be in a tied bag or closed box. ... 3) only bring donations to the store when we are open. We understand our hours don’t fit everyone’s schedule but please call and we can make arrangements for an alternate time. Thank You for your understanding and patience at this time. 5R’s

Hello From 5R's Thrift Shop to our Brussels Community There have been many phone calls, messages and people concerned about us, so we thought is best to reach out again and let everyone know.... We have no opening date, but we are certainly making plans on what it will look like to be open and how best to protect our customers, volunteers and staff. ... Thank you to our community for your patience and concern - we will get there together!! We will let you know when we will be taking donations again as well. Again, your patience is appreciated since we are sure you know our space is limited and challenges remain on how to handle donations safely.

Effective Tuesday, March 24, we will only be able to accept small amounts of donations from our generous donors to ensure the health and safety of our community. We ask our donors to please set donations aside and bring them in when we can safely reopen. The need for affordable clothing and household items will be very high in the days, weeks, and months ahead as we all work to rebuild from the effects of the pandemic. ... When we reopen, donations will be needed more than ever to support the needs of our local communities and social service programs so we can continue to help those in need.
