With a focus on shopping locally for the holidays, the Heights Merchants Association is celebrating the season with another festive event, Deck the Heights. Fro...m December 5 to 18, participating Heights businesses will be competing for Best Over All and People's Choice Window Display. Vote for your favourite window display by liking their photo! Like your favourite window display for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the Heights Business of choice and a holiday gift basket filled with Burnaby Heights goodies and swag. 5 winners will be chosen at random. *This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook. Contest ends December 18 and is open to residents of British Columbia, Canada. Winners will be announced on Jan. 4, 2021.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148 of Burnaby Heights has advised us, with sadness, that due to rising COVID-19 cases, all Remembrance Day ceremonies have been cancelled by the Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, and BC Yukon Command of the Royal Canadian Legion. The public is asked to remember our fallen, and those who have given so much for our freedoms, in ways other than gathering in groups. Ceremonies throughout the country are being live streamed and televised. The public is being encouraged to to stay home and stay safe. We are passing this message along to our shared community, with their knowledge and permission.

This Halloween, we are changing things up! We will have a friendly ghost hiding and haunting our merchants on Oct 30-31. We will need the help of Heights Ghostbusters to let us know where this friendly ghost has gone. When you spot the ghost, take a photo and post it on social media.
