The Cure for Cabin Fever Snowshoe Challenge is all month. We got some pics of those in action on the trails today. Let us know if you need a form. Snowshoeing is a great way to get exercise and out during the pandemic.
Open 12-4 today. FYI- WTF! (Winter Trails Fantastic!) All groomed trails are amazing. We did a ride of everything this am and we were all smiles!
Trails have set up nicely. Thanks for all the snowshoeing and grooming! Kager Lake, The 4.8km and 2.5km (Pumba-Timon) are all great. The uptrack-down track is being groomed again this am. That route and the Runt would benefit from snowshoeing.
Are you taking the January snowshoe challenge? Let us know if you want a snowshoe challenge form emailed to you. Post a pic of a snowshoe you’ve enjoyed on the quest! Thanks Sarah Green for the photos!
The January Cure for Cabin Fever Challenge is out!! Snowshoe or ski the trails to earn points and a chance to win a Burnt Bikes prize package. Forms will be emailed to the membership today. You have the month of January....GO. The Green Family is already out there! Note: We are promoting skiing and snowshoeing as they help pack the trails for biking. Walking on freshly groomed trails makes it difficult for the groomers and bikers. We request if you are walking, please stick to the Kager Lake Trail.
Thanks to Doris Wall for donating masks to the fundraiser. Masks are $10 and all $10 from Doris’ masks go towards an ambulance bike. Doris is not only kind but a super seamstress! We are getting closer to donating for a ambulance bike in Uganda or Botswana. Wheels4life.org .
Have you serviced your suspension components lately? We will be sending off forks, shocks and dropper posts for yearly service. If you would like any of your suspension components to be serviced over the winter, bikes will need to be dropped off at the store no later than Sat, Jan. 16th. Yearly service on the suspension components are your best bet for a properly functioning bike for the next riding season. Contact Dave @ 250-692-7212 for more information.
We are calling it the Peak to Creek. Around 6.5 km from the top of Boer to Kager Creek ..a 1500 foot descent. It’s so good you’ll want to do it twice. Regular fat bikes for round 1 today. We recommend an ebike for the second pedal up!
Thanks to all those out working on the trails! Conditions are great! The 4 km loop, Kager and the Uptrack are all in. Thanks to Ted, Cameron and Will for helping with the grooming. A big shout out to all those that have been out on the workbees. Great job to all the loppers, snowshoers, and shovellers. A lot of time and effort goes into each groomed section. The Pumba/Timon loop is almost ready. Work was done last weekend to get the loop ready. We are also working on a conn...ection to the uptrack via Full Boer-Verge and Charlotte's. Next workbee: Sunday at 10am
Instead of an organized workbee tomorrow your mission if you choose to accept it -snowshoe in learn from experience-pork and beans-entrails-conveyor belt-porkgrind-suuuuet. Great packing...we roughed it in and when it freezes we hope to be able to bike it! Even our elf is a snowshoer. Snowshoeing always helps the trails. Walking when soft is a lot of work for the groomers to fix. Spread the word!
Open 11-3 today. Get your White Goat Christmas coffee. Please wear a mask. If you need one we have bike themed masks for sale- all proceeds from sale go towards a donation for an ambulance bike in Africa.
The groomer has been out this weekend. Trails are still forming up. Good for ebikes. They could use some snowshoers. Snowshoeing is always good for the trails. More snow coming tonight.
Great day to snowshoe up Boer Mountain. is out! Working on the downhill trail today!
Enjoying a rare sunny day with a pedal up Razorback to NKDF. Trails are amazing...but watch for the icy patches and trees down.

Sighting of a man and his sleigh on Christmas Day. Bringing presents of a packed downhill trail and a fantastic Boxing Day ride!
Beauty day yesterday for an ebike commute to the top of Boer- followed by a Star Lake snowshoe! Octoberquest coffee is in order this am!
We broke ground on the new Uptrack this fall. We’ve packed and groomed the first 1.5km for fat biking. (Might be biased but it’s pretty spectacular!!) Conditions are excellent. Pumba and Timon loop is setting up nicely and should be ready soon.
Get your coffee tomorrow . Open Saturday 9-noon. Octoberquest got a little harder with the early snow but White Goat Coffee has made drinking coffee easy! Collect points snowshoeing, skiing and fat biking!
Octoberquest points can be acquired snowshoeing, skiing or fat biking too. A little work today clearing the trails...fat biking tomorrow!
