For the folks wanting a little more info on The Broadway's recent decision to lower our capacity, check the article from our pals at CBC
Hello #yxe community & Broadway supporters As you know, #Covid-19 cases in #Saskatchewan have risen dramatically in recent weeks. Saskatchewan Health Authority have issued revised orders for gatherings with reduction to the number of people allowed to gather. Although the Broadway Theatre is on the listing of Allowable Businesses and technically, we can still operate at ~100 people maximum our team has decided the responsible thing for the Broadway is to reduce our ma...ximum capacity to 30, effective today, Nov 16, 2020. We will keep this reduction in place until Dec 15 and revisit at that time. We just wrapped a hugely successful fundraising campaign, thanks to you! This was with the goal of being fiscally stable and getting to the other side of Covid-19 as a flourishing, healthy organization. We also want to do the right, responsible thing in our community to keep patrons, staff and volunteers healthy. This reduction of capacity to 30 will be an important part of that. Stay tuned to our website and socials for news and updates, and know that we all are LOOKING FORWARD to again seeing you at the Broadway when it is safe to do so. And remember - Wear a mask. Protect each other. Wash your hands. Love each other.

And that’s a wrap #YXE We settled up this weekend for #BroadwayHereToStay You blew us away. You made us tear up and pretend there was something in our eye. You stepped up to the plate and hit home run after home run. ... #BroadwayHereToStay set challenges and our community rose to the occasion and surpassed those goals each time. Together, the community raised over $80,000 in two weeks. All in response to the incredible $40,000 from Saskatoon Community Group & Bob Steane. This amount is being topped off with another generous helping of $50,000 from some amazing partners. This beautiful endeavour was done with the incredible support of @affinity_cu , @yxekinsmen @stratadevelopment and @broadwayyxe and their collective desire to Be Like Bob. Boy, did they deliver. Saskatoon is exceptionally lucky to have such big-hearted, devoted community businesses and orgs. We can’t say enough thank yous’ to @arcanacreative they have incredible vision and are ridiculously talented. Their eye for details and their passion to do good, solid, exciting work from top-to-bottom was certainly contributed to the success of #BroadwayHereToStay Our staff are working on contacting all those who donated. Please keep an eye out for an email from our team and let us know if you want your rewards w/ a goods-deducted tax receipt or if you want to forgo your rewards and get a tax receipt for your full-donation amount. If you are opting in for the rewards you will be able to indicate t-shirt size. Our rentals manager will coordinate the private bookings. We love you Saskatoon. Clearly, the feeling is mutual
