Finally! A new cake to post. This was a wedding cake for a truly awesome couple. There were an 8X5" cutting cake and 120 cupcakes - all lemon cake with raspberr...y filling and lemon cream cheese buttercream. The cake has a mirror glaze finish and half the cupcakes have edible lace toppers. The other half are accented with edible gold dust. See more

I made 8 dozen of these cupcakes for National Cupcake Day, Monday February 26, 2018. It is in support of a local animal shelter. The bones are chocolate with ganache frosting, the dog houses are carrot with cream cheese frosting, and the hydrants are snickerdoodle with buttercream and cinnamon sugar sprinkles.

So, I have decided that I do want to get into cakes again. Here is my latest. It is a 2-tier gluten-free chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse, coated with chocolate ganache and frosted with buttercream. The pink bow and accents are made of fondant. If you live in the Greater Vancouver area and are interested in a birthday or other special occasion cake, let me know. Wedding cakes may be considered as well.
